I wouldn't recommend this service because the chips had absolutely no taste, the dim sims were way overcooked, the fish was dry, the potato cakes were very thick and under cooked, the scallops that I paid $2.60 for were the size of a 20 cent coin, the price on their menu came to $29.80 and they charged us $34.76 cents. My partner ordered a steak sandwich, the bread was basically raw, not toasted at all and the filling was minimal. On top of that they charges surcharge for using EFTPOS (seriously, with COVID around, I thought it best to use a card being safer). IF YOU WANT MY ADVICE, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE FOR FISH AND CHIPS, absolutely disgusting.

We were in South Australia for two weeks visiting with my son and daughter who have both moved there recently and they wanted to take us somewhere special for lunch.

Firstly, as I walked into the venue I noticed that it was not senior friendly, with steep steps to walk up ad down. I thought this was off-putting from the very start. I mentioned to the girl about the steps and she ignored me. I asked my son to see if there was another table up where we had come in, but apparently not. I thought that was not helpful at all. By now, even before the meal, I was thinking that this was not a friendly place at all, my advice is in your advertising you should mention that the premises is on various levels with no access other than steep steps. Furthermore, a few minutes after our entrees arrived and girl came and asked if we were ready for our mains as they were ready for us. I asked that they not come out for 20 minutes or so. She mumbled something and left. On cue she arrived 20 minutes later with mains, tried to fit the plates onto the table before removing the entree plates. Once she had moved it all around, she then asked if we were finished with our entree plates when it was basically clear that they were void of food. Honestly? After that, with three of us ordering our steaks with lobster we could clearly smell ammonia emanating from the seafood, which as you would know is clearly a sign of spoilage and should not be eaten. Whilst mentioning this to the girl who came back to our table to clear away the entree plates, she shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something about 'oh well'. My son-in-law asked her to mention it to the chef and she again barely spoke to us. I found her behaviour quite rude and disconcerting. Consequently, I cannot give a great review, not even a good review of your restaurant. Oh, and to top all that off, it rained and we got terribly wet outside. My experience at your the Bridgewater Inn was absolutely terrible, not to mention the dog upstairs that constantly barked, just a bonus I guess is what the girl might say. We spent over $600 at your place and got nothing in return that even goes close to satisfactory.
