As a hearing impaired health professional, my working and personal life has been completely turned around by BS after many attempts elsewhere. The process has been gradual and difficult for me. It has taken perseverance and considerable resilience along with my own research and experimentation. My advise is to insist on face to face time with BS staff until you are clear about the "best fit" for your hearing loss. The staff are brilliant, caring and trustworthy. I tried to be independent with on line consultations which delayed my progress. Also read the BS staff blogs on the latest assistive technology and become familiar with telecoil systems. There are lots of ways to improve how you hear, interact and maintain connection. Cinemas have telcoil areas and closed caption devises for you,and phones have voice activated screens so you hear and read at the same time. There's lots of options for TV hearing as well. I cannot recommend BS highly enough!
