Staff were quite cold and uncaring. They made a big deal when I asked if I could leave an item of old clothing with my very sick cat when he was hospitalised, so he had a familiar smell. Visiting him was also a big deal to them. Not very user friendly.

Staff here can pretty much build anything you would like and enjoy a challenge. They are very knowledgeable of all sorts of things, from mechanical repairs to building gates to repairing horse floats to weird and wonderful requests. There are two parts to the business: the shop (at the front) and the engineering part (at the back).

The shop has a good range of products and they tend not to sell rubbish. They can also advise you on the best product for your needs. You can buy items, like screws, individually, whereas in large chainstore's you generally need to buy 50 even if you only need one.

Family-owned business, originally est in Eltham then moved to Whittlesea when they needed more space.

This restaurant is run by a lovely, caring family. Good food, reasonably priced. They treat their guests as if you were having dinner at their home. It's always a pleasure to walk into their premises. They provide friendly, prompt service and good quality food for a reasonable price. We visit regularly with our dog to pick up takeaway. One time, they brought out some raw chicken wings for her while we were waiting, which she loved.

Two of my animals, both cats, have had need for chiropractic/physiotherapy treatment for injuries and preventative care. Some animal health specialists sometimes don't respect cats' timidity with strangers. their nervousness around new surroundings etc. Fiona has been great in this respect, allowing them to explore first, being very gentle with them, doing the treatment of their body in stages so it wasn't overwhelming to them and encouraged my full participation eg talking to my cat and soothing her.

One of my cats had injured her knee (stifle); Fiona was knowledgeable enough abotu homeopathics to agree on a suitable remedy to help healing of the knee in between appointments.

Approximate cost: $45

Since writing original (four star) review below, business has now changed hands. Not so good any more. No longer go there.

Marissa (former owner of business) - If you're out there and reading this and still doing hair, or if anyone knows her, please contact me!!

Friendly staff, owned and managed by a lovely young woman who bought it from another lovely young woman. They don't do anything radical if you don't want them to, listen to what you want, retain their staff (so they must treat them well, which is always nice to know). I first used them after being given a 'voucher' from a friend for a free or discount session. I've never gone anywhere else. I've used them for trims, foils, styling and special occasions. They do great haircuts on men, too - far better than your average barber. I know a male who had his 'best haircut ever', based on two womens' opinions.
