This review is for Stetson Steak House And Saloon (SSS), Coffs Harbour NSW

We've been here a few times, easily our favourite place to eat in Coffs Harbour. The ribs, you go to pick them up and the meat falls from the bone, you could eat it with a spoon and the steak you can cut it with a butter knife. Now they have the shank challenge, i've eaten my way through a few food challenges before but from what I hear, you have to have the entree and dessert as well as the shanks which is the size of a childs head, to win, you get your name up on the roll of honour, a tshirt or cap too I think, they have lovely desserts also, the atmosphere is country and the staff are good at their jobs. You can sit in the bar area eating your popcorn and peanuts while you wait to be seated, bookings are a good idea. My favourite meal is the fillet steak with ribs, it comes with country style chips and a bean mix, served on a hot iron plate. We don't eat salad but it comes with it too.

My son likes bread, the girls make him a hot dog with tomato sauce without the sausage. They always let us sample the flavours before we pick an ice cream and they don't get shirty when it's busy. They are very generous with their scoops even when I say small because it's for the kids they give me something the size i'd eat. You get a free bicky with your hot drinks in the morning, and i've lost count of the times i've seen the owner having a chat with an elderly customer, while they have their hot cuppa and bicky before the shops open. The staff seem to all get along which creates a friendy atmosphere.

Hubby was starving and wanted Japanese, I steered him into Goldsteins and he ordered a pie and I picked him an english chesecake, he said the pie was excellent, and I tried the cheese cake, now I hate cheese cake, but this was more like a cake, fluffy with jam underneath, check them out

They have the best chickens in town, and plenty of tasty sides to go with, like potato bakes, pastas, they also do salads and cold pastas, fruit salad. They do Chicken schnitzels burgers they are great value and taste excellent, the chips are just like they were when I was a teenager. They sell cold drinks and ice creams, the small chips will easily feed 2 adults with a chicken, I always forget and order a medium, which always feeds the four adults in our house with some left over. Highly recommended and we will be ordering our Christmas chickens from them.

This review is for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Broadbeach QLD

We tried these on our way home from holiday, we stopped at Pacfair in search of the warner bros store and starbucks, both of which are now gone and were delighted to find a krispy kreme, OMG they are the best doughnuts I have ever tried, we bought a dozen, 6 glased and 6 iced. Best eaten straigh away. They are light and fluffy, not too sweet or sticky and certainly no greasy feeling in your mouth or grains f sugar in your teeth afterwards. We loved them and will be getting the inlaws to bring us down a box when they head our way in a few weeks, only wish they delivered this far.

Approximate cost: $12.95 for 6

We went for breakfast before we came here because they opened at 10, and here I found almond m'n'm's and loved them....They sell lots of US candy bars which almost all have peanut buter in them, the chocolates are expensive but once you taste them you know why, at $1.90 a piece I just admired them as I have tasted them before, we did buy a few cheaper choc coated items. They had coffee truffles, pineapple truffles, haystacks, christmas chocolates, if money isn't an object and you want the best this is the place to go for chocolates, i'm taking some more money with me next time.

This review is for Maleny Cheese, Maleny QLD

We went on Sunday around lunch time, we'd been to Maleny for a wedding, Montville that morning for breakfast but we didn't want to miss Maleny Cheese. Hubby sat with the kids, they had a basket of toys and a table for kids to sit at, great idea. I lined up and sampled the products on offer, I got a pack for $20, which had crackers, a good sized yoghurt of my choice, 2 cheddars of my choice and a brie. I chose from my favourite that I had tasted, you don't have to buy after you try, I chose the triple cream brie, port cheddar and smoked cheddar, they just stick to your mouth, so nice. I suggest stopping in on your way home and make sure you have an esky like we did because you may want to stock up. Grab there pamphlet to take home so you can order more to be delivered when you run out

We recently stayed here for two nights as we had a wedding and reception to attend at the resort, easiest for us as out of towners to stay where it was. The views were beautiful, the room was huge which is great when you have a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old. Our room had a decent sized fridge, but no cooking facilities, we did have a kettle and an iron. Next trip we will book a room that has a bath tub though, as we haven't had anything more than a shower for over two years. The staff we're friendly, fast on checking in and at checkout. They had fliers on everything available to do locally, food, Dr's, zoo's, theme parks etc. I brought a bag full of pamphlets home so next time we plan what to do ahead of time. The wedding was beautiful, the weather was perfect, half way through the reception we got a storm, with a glass wall behind us we had spectacular views of the valley below during lightning strikes. The reception was in a function room which had toilets and a kitchen, and it had a stairway that led up to just outside our room, perfect for us as I went to the room early with the kids and didn't have to worry about hubby finding his way to us. I could hear the laughter as the speeches went on downstairs so I didn't feel elft out having said my goodbyes earlier than most guests. We also had a parking spot just outside our room, which is handy when you have a portacot amid all your holiday luggage. We will definetly stay here again when we head back there, highly reccommended, but no room service.

This review is for McCafe, Grafton NSW

I love the latte frappe, but it isn't strong enough, the local girls will do a double for me if I remember to ask and it's just perfect, yumm. They always use their tongs, they always greet you and let you know you will be served and they are always patient and polite. I shouldn't say girls, we have had a few boys serve us aswell. They always have a little something special on the counter in a clear case to entice you, the range of McCafe sweets and foods is not huge but is a good variety. They have ham and cheese croissants, get it toasted, they're delish. Mum always has a citrus tart, the banana slice is really tasty and the chocolate cakes, heated up, just melt in your mouth. They will heat anything up for you, they make the coffee half strenght, double strenght, no cream extra cream. It's a great place to stop when the hubby and kids want a burger and you want a nice coffee and cake, it within walking distance for me, so off I go to walk off the calories i'm about to consume.

This review is for Chickens On Southbank, South Grafton NSW

This chicken shop is at a bp, so I can get my fuel then dinner before home, keeping my chicken hot. They have very friendly helpful staff who know what's on the menu and how much it is, their prices don't fluctuate, they always have our favourites in stock and they take phone orders. They sell salads, sandwiches, desserts, chicken pieces, salt and vinegar chicken, chicken dim sims etc. They have lots to chose from if you want more than chicken and chips. The shop is always clean and surprisingly not too hot on a hot day. They are very close to home for me so it makes it a fast trip if we're really hungry.
