Cranberry Crafts is a delightful shop - beautifully set out with a gorgeous window display to inspire your creativity! They have a wide array of gorgeous craft (patchwork) fabrics and haberdashery and lots of 'special' yarns. The staff are friendly and happy to give their expert advice.

We had a lovely morning tea here - apparently the coffee is good, although I don't drink it, I had a yummy hot chocolate, and the waitress was accommodating about making a small drink for my son. They have a few gifts (jewellry) and cards for sale also, and a few retro toys. Close to the centre of town and a pleasant location.

This is a lovely shop if you're looking for a gift with a difference - loads of variety as the products are made by various local artisans / craft people. I was able to find a nice little brooch for my mother-in-law, which is not always an easy task. And loads of funky stuff to spoil yourself too - jewellery, bags, fingerless gloves etc.

We dropped in here to a ahospitible welcome, although the museum is cold in winter! They have an amazing display of heritage apples and apple boxes / labels and other memorabilia. Yummy apple-based chutnies etc and fresh apples for sale. Also an extensive gift shop. The assistant was friendly and full of interesting local knowledge.

This review is for Ida Bay Railway Pty Ltd, Ida Bay TAS

We went on the Ida Bay Railway one clear and frosty morning. The views along the coastal route were amazing, with snow-covered Adamson's Peak reflected in the water. My husband is in a wheelchair and the train driver assisted with a ramp and a helpful manner. Most seating is outside (with a roof) so dress for the weather, and blankets are provided. At a half-way stop the driver gave a very interesting narrative of local history and the part that the railway played. Beautiful beaches to explore at the other end.

This review is for Driftwood Holiday Accommodation, Dover TAS

We stayed at these self-contained cottages for the weekend. My husband is in a wheelchair and the accessible cottage was great. The cottage has everything you need with a well laid-out kitchen and living area, and large bathroom. The operator had the heater going, ready for us on arrival, and there is a gorgeous view over the water. We went during winter and got a very cheap deal.

This review is for The Pavilion Fitzroy Gardens, East Melbourne VIC

My son and i were exploring Fitzroy Gardens and starting to feel a bit peckish for lunch. We happened upon The Pavillion when checking out the model village - lunch, right when we needed it! We each had a foccacia, which came with a lovely fresh salad. My son raved about how delicious it was, and i agreed. And it's in a lovely location that looks out ofver the gardens.

This review is for Alice Thai Restaurant, Melbourne VIC

We sometimes have dinner at Alice Thai when staying at the Hotel Victoria. The thai dishes are excellent - especially the pad thai, and the menu also has options for those who don't like thai food eg: kids. The service is very quick and it's convenient when you're staying in the hotel and don't want to venture out too much to get dinner after a big day of sight-seeing.

This review is for Glow On Collins, Hobart TAS

I came to be a customer of Glow when I followed my hair dresser, Sara there. Sara is lovely and is a great hair cutter. The Glow salon itself is a little noisy with bright downlights- not my usual preference, but it's OK and worth it to have Sara cut my hair. The other staff also seem to be nice when taking appointments over the phone etc.

This review is for Breadd, Sorell TAS

verified email - 30 May 2012

Breadd is a bakery with a difference. It makes 'special' breads such as interesting styles of pide and flat bread, and a range of pastries and a spicy soup on the stove ready to go. They have a good range of fresh salad ingredients to make a roll for lunch. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't however have regular bread such as wholemeal sliced bread or rolls - our usual staples to bring home.
