Absolutely the BEST bakery, a great variety of breads and pastries, and their coffee and apple scrolls are well worth the drive.This is our favourite bakery and we wouldn't consider going elsewhere, the staff is brilliant.

If you like seafood generally, then look no further than Papas. Their battered fish is superb, butterfish is my favourite, and the serves are very generous. There are other outlets, but I'll always drive to Papas

Fruit is only average, found that bananas were woody and tasteless, stone fruits generally dry, prices a bit high. Returned milk on four occasions as it was 'off', even though date was OK. Better off going to the supermarket across the road

Whenever we travel to Geelong or elsewhere in the region we ALWAYS stop at the Anakie Roadhouse. You just couldn't meet anyone friendlier or as efficient as those lovely folk who make a visit a total pleasure.You just HAVE to try the lemon chicken and special fried rice, it's top class tucker and a great favourite of ours. We stopped there both on the way down to Anglesea, and on the way back just two weeks ago, and we're looking forward to our next visit
