In the real world - completely alien to the youth of today - tea was made by warming the pot , one spoon of tea per person plus one for the pot , then pour BOILING water onto the tea leaves.... the boiling water opened the leaves and produced the full flavour of whatever leaves were being used. The kettle was always put back on the heat to make sure it was bubbling to brew the tea.... unfortunately modern shop staff know only tea bags and one gets water that WAS boiling, with the tea bag neatly packed on tge saucer..... tepid water , late tea bag entry, absolutely NO way for the tea to brew.... taste has been dropped for --- I'm not sure why ???????
