Found owner Shaun to be refreshingly honest when servicing a vehicle. He does not try to sell repairs that are not needed.
Would highly recommend using this workshop.

Got a tech check & report done. Took a week to get the report & quote. Found out a week later that they had left the cap off the brake master cylinder. Found it on the chassis near the radiator. Reported that the front springs failed & needed adjusting. Don't have front springs. Reported that the power steering oil was low and burnt. It was neither low or burnt. Numerous other items quoted as needing repair/replacement. Needless to say I have not taken up their quote of $2800+ plus for repairs.

Great park, shame the Gold Coast City Council own it. Current managers seem to have less authority than previous managers. Park had very low occupancy compared with just across the border mainly because they were at least 20% dearer. We have stayed here before, however this was probably the last time unless they become more competitive with their rates.
Amenities are clean. Shop has basic needs.
Whilst we were there a road sweeper came into the park at least 3 times in 1 week. Went past our site at least 15 times. That was a waste of time & money.

Ordered 2 x Roast Chicken Meals which were ready within 5 minutes. One meal had 2 chicken wings 1 chicken leg a piece of half cooked pumpkin 1 jacket potato half cooked almost raw cauliflower, broccoli and gravy. The other meal had similar pieces of chicken, 1 half cooked jacket potato, almost raw cauliflower, half cooked pumpkin, gravy but no broccoli. The chicken was not tender and the potato had no butter or cream. All in all one of the worst meals we have ever received.

Whilst the haircut I received was good. The lack of interaction with me was disappointing. The 5 guys working there spent the whole time talking among themselves in a language other than English. Rude and totally unacceptable.

We were looking for flannelette sheets. we were served by Vanessa who was very knowledgeable, helpful without being pushy, listened to what we had to say and was very pleasant and efficient.
A real pleasure to shop there.

Whilst the park is in a great spot that is about all that is going for it.
At $43 per night for a site with no slab, not level and no shade anywhere it was overpriced.
The park entrance has boom gates for security yet there are public roads alongside the park with little or no fencing or adequate barrier. Park does not supply a BBQ area. This is not a park I would recommend, particularly when 5kms away there is another park which is $13 a night cheaper!

Booked in for week and stayed 4 months. Managers Greg & Sandra are just the nicest couple and so obliging. Amenities kept spotless. Last Sunday in the month is $1 or $2 breakfast depending on your appetite. With a weekly rate under $200 in peak holiday time it is great value.

At 3.10 pm ordered a small chicken kebab and small chips from a guy ( no name badge). Told could not have chips as the fryer gets turned off at 3pm. I received my kebab from a young lady (no name badge) who asked would I like a drink with it. I said no what I wanted was chips but the fryer was turned off. She said that was a manager decision. I asked why when chips are listed on the menu I should be able to get chips. She called the manager who said he always turns the fryer off at 3pm. I said that was bad customer service as he was open for business and should serve chips. He said cars are advertised on the car yard at midnight but you can't buy one then. I said that's a ridiculous thing to say and in my opinion it's poor customer service. Pretty weak really when the kebab was great. Sadly compounded by charging me for a large when I ordered & got a small. Rectified after I queried my change. Whilst I would gladly eat another Origin Kebab it would not be from this store.
