One of the owners is the husband of a colleague of mine. I know they mostly do kitchens, but they built a linen cupboard for me. They did a good job, built exactly what I wanted, fitted it in to the gap left by an old cupboard. Reasonably priced, I was happy with their work, and if I can ever afford a new kitchen, I'll be asking them to do it!

Use these guys every year to prune my fruit trees. They do a good job, always take the prunings with them, turn up on time and are reasonably priced. What more can you ask? I'd recommend them.

Quite a good Indian restaurant, recommended by friends, and found it quite pleasant. A nice courtyard that I'm looking forward to enjoying on warmer summer evenings.

Provide receptions and cater for functions, also accept bookings for casual dining (if not booked out for functions). Friendly staff, the food service is buffet style and there's always plenty of it, good value for money.
Would happily go here again.

Get my car serviced here regularly. Allows me to drop my car off early on my way to work and slide key under the door. Always does a good job, is friendly and helpful. Has told me a couple of times that I don't need to bring it in as often as I would've normally booked it - he could've just accepted it and taken my money.
Last service, he called me up the next day as he'd found a large oil stain where my car had been parked, and wanted to double check it wasn't from my car - checked my car out quickly and cleared it, I was impressed by this.
Reasonably priced.

Approximate cost: $125

Attended on a Sunday afternoon to replace my smashed dining room window. There was the worst storm whilst the poor guy was up on a ladder fixing my window - he was cheerful and friendly, said he'd been out since 6am that morning! Refused the offer of a cup of tea so as not to keep his next client waiting (wouldn't have blamed him if he'd said yes - he was wet and must've been cold). He was there within 90 minutes of me calling him (which was the best response I got from several calls).
Would happily use again.

This review is for Dr Caroline Hurd, Chiropractor, Howrah TAS

I started seeing Caroline many years ago when she worked at the Hobart Chiropractic Centre, and initially I followed her when she went out on her own. She always treated me well, respected the fact I don't like to have my neck "cracked" and used other methods, was helpful with my headaches.
Ultimately, being in practice on her own made it difficult to get appointments quickly, and being popular, the wait for next appointments became difficult too - often up to six weeks. This is the only reason I eventually started using another practice. I'd highly recommend her.

Went here once with neck pain/headache when I just couldn't get into my usual chiropractor. I believe he actually used to be in partnership with my current chiropractor (which is a high enough recommendation for me) although I was never his patient there. Dr Haslett treated me well, resolved my headache, I was happy with the treatment.

Cafe/cafeteria that caters for staff and visitors to the hospital. Several choices of hot food, including a vegetarian choice each meal (although these often include cheese - vegetarian lasagne and the like, wouldn't suit strict vegetarians) that always has vegetables - often a roast meal, and more traditional greasy take aways - chips, dim sims, potato cakes etc. The quality is what you'd expect for mass cooked food, although great for the price - $6.50 for a large meal for a visitor ( staff get theirs a bit cheaper).
They do have very good salads though, and an extremely good sandwich/roll bar, where they make them fresh to your order at lunchtime - don't think this is offered in the evenings.
Also do cappuccinos and milkshakes, sell a good range of cold soft drinks, juices and bottled water. Sell fresh fruit as well.
Overall a great service, if you're a visitor long term, or for many hours/days, it's wonderful to be able to get a hot meal that isn't just take away junk, to have somewhere to sit and have a cuppa, and still be close by. Gives staff the option of a hot meal at cheap prices.

Approximate cost: $6.50

Little cafe in the Hobart Private Hospital, has take away hot food, drinks, sandwiches and rolls, also has table to sit down and eat. A bit pricey, but all hospital cafes are! Quality is fine, provides a needed service for visitors to the hospital and some patients and staff.
