I found this store after an awful experience with another store 3 years ago. I wanted an adult, female Harry Potter costume for a friend's 40th. The woman here was enthusiastic about helping me find what I wanted, every costume was categorised and boxed for easy finding, with photos showing exactly what was included. There was a really good range of wigs, when I said I had my own dress to use, that was fine, she was flexible about me using part of the costume but not all of it, she seemed excited for me and wanted to see a photo of me after the event. When I asked a few days later if I could change the wig for a different colour, that wasn't a problem, even though I realised that meant they'd have to get the original wig washed.
To top it off, they were cheaper than the first store, which I'd abandoned due to their poor costumes and very rude staff member.
I'd return here anytime, highly recommend them.
Approximate cost: $35.00
Corner store that has changed hands in last couple of years - new owners now have sit down tables inside and outside, and offer good light meals to eat in or take away. Good range of cakes and sweet treats, coffee and tea. Also have a free book exchange, so you can pick a book off the shelf, read while you have a cuppa, and take it with you! Staff are really, really friendly and it's now a great little place to drop in for lunch or morning & afternoon tea.
Probably the best Thai food I've found in Hobart. Large serves, and they also home deliver! Very reasonably priced. My favourites are the Tom Kha Gai and the Pad Thai. Staff and always friendly and happy to serve you.
Have only eaten takeaway from here, quite good Indian food, convenient location and the staff are always friendly. Reasonably priced.
Really good little Asian takeaway place, you can also eat in. Have lovely green chicken curry. Always friendly, reasonably priced.
Have always taken my car here to have the paintwork repaired - have usually done a good job except for once, when the paint on the bonnet gradually developed a "high tide mark" over the months after it was done. Sold the car before I got around to taking it back though.
Always friendly and reasonably priced. On one occasion they dropped the car off at the car park across from where I work, which was really convenient.
Painted interior of bedroom window for me. Did a good job, but more expensive than I expected, and certainly more than I'd pay now, knowing better as I do now.
Removed a couple of trees for me over the years, and ground the stumps. Not too expensive, arrived when they said they would, removed all the rubbish. Would use them again.
Friendly, helpful practictioner. I second the comment below re the relative lack of privacy, but I would also use them again. Parking isn't a hassle, and appointments pretty easy to come by.
Painted exterior windows for me and re-puttied around them all. Did a good job, was finished in one day, friendly service, arrived on time. Has done LOTS of work for a close friend of mine, so I knew they have high standards and do very good quality work.
