I cannot praise this place enough. I have had ongoing gastric issues with my dog for months, resulting in several vets visits and a couple of emergency dashes in middle of night. Each time I have either been dismissed as over reacting or he has been patched up and sent on his way. Last month I had to rush him to vet yet again and he was kept in all day on IV fluids etc. He was discharged at closing time and I was informed he was refusing all food still and a little flat but he just needed to go home and sleep He wasn’t my boy! I managed 2 hours at home with him whining, looking distressed and refusing all food etc ( he is a scavenger and always hungry). I decided to bypass the other emergency hospital my vet is associated with this time and take him to SASH. What a difference! They listened to me, examined him carefully and to cut long story short he was actually very sick and in their ICU for a week. I have been referred to their medical specialist as it appears he has a chronic condition that was getting worse without management. The specialist was excellent, explained everything and future treatments etc. I felt validated, included, informed and most of all my poor dog now has a future without crippling pain and gastrointestinal issues every few weeks.
If you want proper care for your animal and treatments go straight to SASH, I wish I had sooner.
