This is definitely the best coffee and cake in town! And in the winter time, they have the yummiest pies and sausage rolls.
Everytime I am up at the Terrace visiting my mum and sister, I have to duck in and grab a Mustafa's Kebab for lunch, they are the yummiest Kebabs I've ever eaten. I highly recommend the falafel kebab.
My fiance and I are regulars to this GJ's too, and the staff are always lovely, and the coffee is delicious :)
I love a night out for tea at the Maryland Tavern. I agree it is best to book in, and it does get quite busy and noisy, but the food is delicious and great value.
I have been to BWP twice, and have no desire to return. Both times the pizzas were bland, and the service was poor. The only redeeming factor was the location.
We started ordering pizzas from HGP about 2 years ago.. We will never go back to bigger fast food chain again, their pizzas just do not compare. We have not had a bad experience yet.
The pizzas are always hot, cooked well, plenty of flavour and delicious!
Approximate cost: $30
My eldest 2 children both attend/ed Mayfield West Demonstration School. The principal is kind and very helpful, and there are some great, inspiring teachers at the school too. My eldest went right through from pre-school to year 6 here, and went on to be accepted into Merewether High, so I am very happy with that outcome :)
I was always happy with the haircut I paid for a few years ago from hairology, and the girls are friendly and helpful, but when I brought my son in for a cut, I was so disappointed. He sat very still for his cut, but it was all choppy, and looked a bit like a home job. I didn't say anything, because he'd gotten bad cuts at other places too, and I thought that perhaps it was just because his hair is so thick, or maybe because they are being overly careful to not hurt him.. but then I just happened to drop in at another local salon while shopping, and the result was so much better, making me realise just how bad the previous haircut was.
I recently had my sons hair cut here, and at first I felt that it was a little pricey for a 2yo haircut, but I will be back, because the service was above and beyond the best, and the quality of my sons haircut was amazing. He has thick, dark hair, and 2 other hairdressers and a barber gave him cuts that looked like homejobs, but the haircut from Teressa's was beautiful! well worth the money.
My daughter started lessons at Rosies in the beginning of 2009. My son went to watch her at a a jam session, and he was hooked, so started guitar lessons the very next term.
All the staff at Rosies are fantastic with the kids, very encouraging. The music is sweet, and the atmosphere rocks! The thing that I like best, is that the kids aren't just learning how to play music, but they are also learning how to follow cues and play with other musicians in front of an audience. The end of year gig is amazing, and I can't wait for this years!!
