Convenience x10 with 24 hour opening times, Kmart Waratah is in a convenient, central location with a nice mix of specialty shops around (only suitable if you visit during normal shopping times). It's a decent sized store although the last couple of times I have been there have been various racks emptied as if things are being moved, which can be annoying, but it's a pay off for having it open all day every day - it's never closed so these things have to be done while the store is open.
Great childcare, friendly staff! My daughter still recalls her time there and enjoyed it immensely, always talking about Six Hats.
A great public school that often feels more like private, wedged between some of the most exclusive and expensive private schools in Newcastle, they still manage to receive high levels of enrollment.
MWDS is a great little school, offering places from preschool - year 6. Our children have settled in well and enjoy going to this school.
Great informal dining experience at Eats on the Beach, or a more formal atmosphere perfect for functions in Aqua Bar & Grill. Prices are reasonable, service is fast and meals are delivered quickly. Eats is a walk-in area or bookings taken for larger groups. Specials nights through the week make it an affordable little local pub with THE best views in Newcastle from the deck.
I LOVE Dr Savio. One of the best things about returning to Newcastle was returning to quality medical care. He's an old school family GP - he looks you in the eyes instead of staring at a computer, and is happy to be with you for as long as it takes rather than watching the clock. He's thorough, friendly and even has friendly reception staff :)
