The only positives are that the rooms are nice and clean and reception staff friendly and helpful. However, after several chiropractic treatments I ended up with a very nasty rib injury after a painful adjustment. Six weeks on I am only just starting to get over the injury and almost back to how I was before the appointment. Once injured, follow up was very poor and the Chiropractor was totally dismissive. Dr Michele Martin (who has since moved on from this business and is now working elsewhere) left a voice message stating that the force she used could not have caused the injury as I had advised, even though she knew at the time of the appointment that she had hurt me. This did nothing other than cause me upset when I was already injured. Pretty special really. A little hard to take from a person who is supposed to be in a helping/caring profession and with whom I had trusted my well being with.

I have been going to Chiropractors since the age of 15 (so around 23 years) for treatment of headaches and tight neck (not sure what adjusting ribs has to do with that). In 23 years I had never experienced anything like the injury and response that I was blessed with from this chiropractor. The only good thing about it was the fact that it was my ribs that were injured and not my neck or back.

I now see an awesome Physio elsewhere, standard appointments are 30 minutes, instead of 6 to 10 minutes treatment at BIB. My Physio includes warming muscles up, stretching, massage and then manual adjustments if required. It is a personal choice and everyone is different however, based on my experience and injury, I would never return to Back In Balance or seek treatment from this chiropractor again as there are much better options out there for me. After several visits to my physio my neck is the best it has felt in years and they have assisted healing my chiropractic injury. My Physio even got his staff to call me after each appointment to ensure I was going well, very nice.

I am extremely grateful to my Physio for their professional, caring and helpful response to me, it has restored my faith that there are still people who care out there. It is just a shame I had to go elsewhere to get treatment that I really needed. However, going elsewhere was a much better option then the risk of paying for the privilege of being injured again. I certainly was taught a lesson the hard way.
