I love going to the movies, and I always choose to go to Hoyts at TTP. The only downside to it all, is the highly overpriced food. Almost $20 for popcorn and a drink. The markup is very high, which makes it harder for more people to go to the movies more than once or twice a year.
Approximate cost: $50+
The portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller and the prices don't seem to be changing to fit with that.
The service seems pretty slow, and when you order extras you don't always get them and you have to chase after them.
This is a fairly new shop (it's been opened since September). The staff seem fairly nice, can show people ideas on what to buy and the store itself seems to be pretty open and inviting.
They have decorated for Christmas and it makes it a little nicer to walk in as well.
I went with my mum, son and a friend and the meals didn't take long to get to us, but the tables aren't big enough for 4 people to share. We ordered Garlic Bread and that came out around 5 minutes before the meal, so we weren't finished with that when we had to make room on our table for the next course.
The Hot Chocolate tasted like warm milk, and the dessert wasn't overly thrilling either.
I went in here to do some Christmas shopping. The prices are great, the staff were heaps friendly and helpful and showed me items that were suitable for the ages I was looking for.
We ordered drinks and were given something completely different. They couldn't understand what we were saying, but the food was good. They also gave me a little something as it was my birthday, which was totally unexpected, but a very lovely gesture.
Approximate cost: $15.00
I really enjoyed the food, and prices of the drinks weren't too bad either.
I took my son there and they didn't charge me for his drink because I only wanted half a hot chocolate. They treated him very well.
Approximate cost: $20.00
Looked online to get prices and ordered over the phone. Went to pick up the three separate meals we'd ordered, and the prices online were different than what we were charged. The guy behind the counter argued with us, and refused to honor the prices online.
Approximate cost: $12.00
