At a time when I was struggling to feel attractive, this wonderful and dear friend did my makeup for a work awards function. Evie ensured that I was comfortable and chatted away as her hands directed the brushes as she worked away at her canvas, my face. I melted when I took that first glance in a mirror, struggling not to cry and destroy the striking picture that reflected back.
