This is the best Doctor's Surgery I have ever been to. All the staff-doctors, receptionists, nurses are very friendly and professional. They show real concern for their patients and will go out of their way to fit you in or meet your needs however possible. We have also had the children immunised there and the nurses are really good with them. They also have two female doctors for patients who feel more comfortable with a female doctor.

You will not be disappointed with this carpenter. He does renovations, pergolas & decks, bifolds & windows, maintenance, insurance work. Not only is the work top quality, it is very reasonable pricing. He did quite a bit of work on our little cottage. Not only has it lasted, it is still drawing comments from people who are impressed by the job. My inlaws just got their deck done and are absolutely wrapped with the job. It's hard to find trustworthy tradesmen, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

This review is for Pine Treasure Market, Dakabin QLD

Shopping at the local dump? This might not sound very pleasant to most, but it's really not that bad! At the Dakabin Waste Facility, they have a big shed where they sell things that have been thrown out. They are open Friday to Sunday, 8am to 1pm. You would be surprised what people throw out. I have gotten some great things there, some things look brand new even. For example, the other week my friend got a proper Tradesman Wheel Barrow which looked practically brand new for $10, you pay over $100 for a good one of these from Bunnings, so he was very pleased. They sell everything from toys, clothes, books, videos, to larger things like furniture, mowers, boats. You name it, it's there.
What are the down sides? There is a lot of second hand dealers that are there everyday to score the bargains so you have to get there early. It can be very crowded, if you turn up just before 8am, there will be a large crowd waiting to get in, but if you want the bargains, you have no choice. Some of the staff are quite unfriendly, and some of them will rip you off so be careful. Know the prices of what your looking at. Some things are absolute bargains, especially in the furniture area. In other areas, for example toys or baby goods, while at times there can be some bargains, a lot of the time, things can be overpriced. Most of the smaller things, don't have prices on them so you don't find out til you get to the counter, so work out in your mind first what you want to pay, and don't be afraid to put things back. Some weeks you might go there and get nothing, other weeks it really is a TREASURE TROVE!

This review is for Seagull Chinese Take Away, Deception Bay QLD

This is the best Chinese take away around! The food is really yummy and great prices. The shop assistants are lovely and really helpful. My little boy loves his rice and noodles and when asked what he wants for lunch when we're out, he always chooses the "noodle and chicken" shop rather than McDonalds, which makes me happy. And he quite often scores a couple of free prawn chips.

Approximate cost: $7.00

This review is for Aid For The Blind Shop, Deception Bay QLD

verified email - 21 Jun 2010

This is the best second hand shop I've ever been to. The clothes and other stuff they sell are really good quality things which are still in great condition. I find most op shops today, charge ridiculous prices for second hand goods that people have thrown out but the Aid for the Blind Shop keeps their prices quite reasonable and the ladies that work there are lovely, friendly people who take pride in how the shop looks. They have it very clean and neat with beautiful displays. They also have regular 50% off sales on different lines.

This review is for Bay Chicken Shoppe, Burpengary QLD

The Bay Chicken Shoppe has been around for years and years and they are great. For simple, yummy food at great value and good service. They have really good deals to get large quantities of food for families. My husband loves their kiev meal deal or the burger meal deal. When you compare it to going to somewhere like McDonalds, it's cheaper, much nicer, plus you get a proper size serving which is actually enough to feed a man!!

Approximate cost: $8.00
