Very cheap chinese restaurant, but in a good way! It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is great value and the serving sizes are quite large. The tempura vegetables are my favourite, as well as the vegetarian omelette's.

This is the cheapest gym I can find in Sydney (even without my student discount)! The staff are always friendly and the equipment is clean and up to date. They run heaps of classes with well trained instructors. Even when I graduate I don't think I'll change gyms, this has everything you need without the huge price tag. Plus it's pretty quiet during the day (ie before 4pm)

The best and cheapest thai you'll find in Newtown! The restaurant is small and always crowded (because everyone knows how good it is) but it is well worth it. Heaps of options for vegetarians as well, especially entrees.

Bar Broadway is a regular watering hole for my friends and myself mainly because it serves cheap drinks (and has specials for students, which most of my friends are), has cheap food, friendly staff and doesn't have that trendy vibe to it. Just a nice place to go and relax and chat to your friends without screaming over music.

I went adventure caving with my boyfriend last week at Jenolan Caves (he was new to it, whereas I've done it a couple of times) and it was great! The instructors were friendly people and we managed to have a small group which made the experience even better. We did the Plughole tour which included a brief abseil and it was alot of fun, can't wait to go back and do longer and harder tours!

I went here for dinner with my boyfriend last week and we both loved it. I couldn't believe the service actually, very upper class! The food was great, though they do not have a vegetarian entree which was disappointing.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night last week while we were having a break from city life and we absolutely loved it. The rates were great (we paid $120 for a traditional room on a Monday night). Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open when we were there, but the breakfast provided was excellent. Very keen on visiting again on a weekend so that we can dine in the restaurant as the menu is to die for and we had hear rave reviews.

Glebe Liquor is my local bottle shop. It is a small bottle shop that comes with all the charm of one. The staff are always happy to have a chat about what they stock and to share their knowledge. They stock such a wide variety of wines for their size, which is why I keep going back.

Red Oak has got to brew the best beers in Sydney by far! If you like The Heritage or Belgium Beir Cafe then you will love this place. The restaurant is also excellent, with a proper chef on hand.

A great thai place in Glebe. Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection and staff are always nice. They have a very nice eat-in area as well. The meals are always ready quickly.
