This is a tiny wholesale outlet for a surprisingly large range of yummy meats and poultry. Everything is prepackaged so you can't choose a particular weight or number of items. The food is high quality and fresh, and you can even purchase "seasonal" type goods, eg hams and turkeys at Christmas. Great parking and away from the busy city centre and supermarket madness!

I have been going to this surgery for a number of years. Unfortunately it can be costly (no bulk billing) but I continue to go back because the doctors are friendly, and they have a number of other services attached (e.g. I can take my daughter there for vaccination clinics on Fridays, which is free, and they also have a pathology unit).

Approximate cost: $65

I attended this surgery for a dermatology appointment. I found the service to be satisfactory in terms of providing advice, but it was somewhat disappointing that the "bedside manner" was a little lacking. The office personnel were friendly and attended to me very efficiently.

The service was friendly and thorough. We have a large property and it was pleasing to see that the operator sprayed right around the house, (twice!) and even sprayed that garden beds, cars, letter box and sheds. He was very considerate of our young baby, and asked before treating anywhere that might interfere with our household activities.

Approximate cost: $230

This restaurant is perfect for a very intimate dinner. My husband and I went there for a special birthday, and we were treated like royalty. The food is superb, but the added extras really make it special - the little bonuses like marinated olives, garlic popcorn, mini pumpkin soups and refreshing sorbet. (these were all brought out as complimentary extras!)

This little shop in the Centrepoint shopping complex in the middle of Hobart is lovely - they stock loads of handmade and even organic products such as soaps, lotions and other body products. They even have delicate products for the fragile skin of babies. So many things to choose from, and you know you're getting a quality product.

This is a lovely shop in the centre of Hobart. It stocks a huge range of gorgeous and funky gifts including things like jewellery, beauty products (eg soaps, handcream), baby goods, stationery, bags...and such lovely brands (like Nicola Cerrini, Oobi and Kikki K). Free gift wrapping too.

We LOVE this place! The service is friendly and local, and the meals are delicious! Most of the meals are Italian- style, and there are some real "stand-outs" - the spicy livers are great, and the ricotta filled ravioli is so creamy. The prices are really reasonable, and you can BYO too.

This restaurant is a really good family place, with large meals and friendly service. A perfect restaurant for a quick meal before the movies, or for a quick take-away meal on the way home. It can sometimes be a bit noisy if it's busy, but this only adds to the informal feel of the place

A wonderfully cosy restaurant, with a great function room upstairs. The food is delicious and great value for money. You can also BYO alcohol. Highly recommend the scrumptious dips, with extra bread if you need it! A favourite restaurant.
