I have my checkups here and John Parsons is always friendly and cheerful. He takes the time to explain things and answer all questions thoroughly. My daughter wears glasses too and we have been to John and his staff countless times to have her frames adjusted after she's knocked them out of shape. One month we seemed to be there every week and each time they never failed to make us feel welcome, even though we weren't paying for anything. It was never a problem for them. When she lost a screw from her frames, John spent a long time trying to find a match and when that failed, coming up with a solution that would work to keep her frames together.

We have been seeing the doctors here for over 5 years and we're very happy with all our regulars - Dr Colin Chu, Dr Vicki Chan and Dr Janet Kwak. They always take the time to listen and explain, they are very caring and professional at the same time. Of the 7 GPs working here, 5 are women, so if you're more comfortable with a female doctor, you are in luck.

The owners have run this business for over 20 years and I have always had good service from them and their staff. They are Asian so know how to deal with the straight strong hair I have, but also have obviously happy non-Asian clients as well. You can often get an appointment at short notice or even without booking on a week day. Cuts are very reasonably priced, and they're great with children too.

I often go here with my young children and neighbour and her children. The staff never flinch at so many noisy customers. The food usually comes out quickly, which is important when you have diners under the age of 12. We find that the dishes are generous enough that we order about 3 dishes for every 4 adults and that's plenty, unless you're feeling greedy and want all your pho or laksa to yourself. They do good stir-fry noodles and fried rice - all hits with the children.

Approximate cost: $12

We dropped in to buy some jams and were in the store for ages, trying to decide between all the delicious flavours available. We didn't feel pressured to buy and when we were ready to pay, we were served by a lovely young girl who was cheerful and polite.
