This review is for Kenilworth Friendly Grocer, Kenilworth QLD

The friendly grocer is more like a large convenience store than a supermarket, and the prices are set accordingly. They go have quite a wide range, so you'll be able to find most of what you need, but it's not a place suited to your weekly grocer shopping. They do stock a range of camping stuff, as well as some hardware lines. Being a small town shop, they often have discounted lines. As a bonus, they offer accounts to locals!

This is a nice bakery, with lovely fresh bread, cakes, slices, pies, and the rest of the fare you'd expect. They also stock a wide range of locally made sauces, jams, preserves and the like. If that wasn't enough, they make coffee, and have plenty of seats available inside and out, so you can enjoy a hot beverage, a decadent treat, and watch the world go by. Couple that with the helpful and friendly staff, and you have a fine bakery/coffee shop!

This is a nice little secondhand bookshop in Maleny (where there are a few bookshops now). The range isn't huge (given that it is rather a small store), but I had fun browsing, and found a couple of books at a decent price.

Overall, the prices seemed a touch high, but that seems to be the trend with a lot of secondhand bookshops.

Good for a browse if you are in Maleny.

This struck me as an old fashioned style secondhand bookshop - books everywhere (often not in alphabetical order), disorder, and a good opportunity to scrounge around.

The staff are more than willing to order books in for you, if you can't find a used copy in store, which is always a nice touch, and seems to be the rule rather than the exception these days.

The prices seem a little high to me, the staff aren't sure what they have in stock, and it does have that feeling that it could do with a bit of a sort and tidy. But if you have patience, and time to kill, you might just find a bargain.

Not a bad bookshop. It's been around forever (which is a good thing), and the selection isn't too bad, considering the local population.

Prices are a touch higher than you'd expect, parking is non-existent, and locals airing their grievances in-store can be a bit of a turn off.

These guys are great. I love the cheese, and the samples, and the quality. They produce everything on site, and support a lot of other local producers as well.

One of these days I'll even try one of their ice creams...

The Kenilworth Hotel isn't a bad place to have a beer. They have music, alcohol, pool, and food. All are reasonably priced, but not likely to blow your socks off.

The thing that might, if you're a local, is the Booze Bus. On a Friday and Saturday night it is free to catch the bus too and from the pub. Makes a night out a little easier!

This review is for Domino's Pizza, Nambour QLD

verified email - 18 Aug 2013

I used to work for a Domino's Pizza place as a driver. I know what happens behind the scenes and so forth. I've also worked in retail, so I know how that is.

Why the preface? This Domino's is the worst I have ever seen.

They have recently been renovated (from what I see and know about the Domino's chain), which makes them more open to the public. The public can watch them make pizza. They can also see them not wear two gloves when they handle food, laugh at customers they find funny, and at young girls that apply for jobs there.

On top of everything else, they also managed to mess up my order. As it was a 40 minute drive to get home, I couldn't go and complain.

I don't have the hots for what's in the box with the dots.

I had a burger combo meal from here and the burger was huge. It was made fresh, the ingredients were all fresh (not like at some of the fast food burger places), and it was very tasty. The staff was very friendly, and had good memories (which you need to pick out a customer in a food court).

They also do roasts, breakfasts, and a variety of other meals, but the burgers have sold this place for me. Next time I'm back in Nambour, I'll definitely stop back in for another burger.

I was having trouble with my netbook and found these guys via the Yellow Pages. Conway was friendly, and when I described the problem to him, he knew immediately what was wrong, and how he was going to fix it. Unlike most people, he didn't give me an unrealistic completion date, but, rather, one that he knew he could stick to.

I found the experience to be pleasant rather than painful, and he explained his work, rather than treat me like an idiot.
