Took my 6 year old daughter recently for a hair cut and they charged me $44. When I queried the price (as previously I'd only ever paid $15-17) they said it was because it was a style cut. It was a bob that took less then fifteen minutes. Pretty sure they wouldn't have charged a little boy the same amount. Won't be going back at that price!
