Have been here a couple of times with different groups of friends. The food quality is of a high standard and service is pretty good-never have to wait too long for your meal. However, I think the prices are inflated...$20+ for a pizza with a very thin base & little topping is hardly worth it.

food was ordinary, service was ordinary... bill was higher than i'd have liked for what we got served and how we got served. Make up yourv own mind though... but i think there are much better options in the area.

For the prices, the food was awfully simple! Don't get me wrong, the food tasted good but I dont think anybody would pay over $20 for a under garnished pizza.

We had read great reviews of this place but when we went it was quite disappointing. They told us we had to be out within an hour, that's fine. We ordered pizza and pasta. The food took 40 mins to come out (not very fair when we had to be out within an hour!) The pasta was undercooked (as was the pasta at the table next to ours). Pizza ordinary. The real trouble came when we wanted to get the bill. No waiter came to our table to clear our plates or anything even after we tried hailing them. We finally just walked up to the register area where the waiter was extremely rude to us and there were heaps of people standing around waiting to be seated/pay their bill. Not coming back again.

i have sent many people to eat here as i have heard it was good, i think i must have went on a bad night because i wasn't all that impressed, two of the others i went with have been before and said it is usually good but this one night all the staff seemed to be in very bad moods, the food was nice but a shame that you weren't able to adjust the menu as i am allergic to olives and everything i wanted had olives on it, the restaurant its self was nice set up the lights could have been a bit brighter so i could have read the menu, maybe ill give the, one more chance

I tried 400 gradi on sat. 31 oct, after reading the review on this site. Well what else can we say except for, beautiful produce, fantastic service. Pizza's and Kitchen food are amazing. Love the atmospher, lively and warm. Staff are very attentive and extremely friendly. Watching the chefs in the kitchen you can see the passion in their eyes. I was blown away, Guy Grossi must have missed this place when he did his review on 5 of the best in melbourne. Well i've tried the rest but must say these guys are up there with the best in melbourne. Cant wait for my next visit.

What can I say, I love this restaurant. The service, the food, the atmosphere. All menu items are made from imported Italian products, and let me tell you, you can taste the difference. We have been there about 4 times, you are best to make a reservation especially for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights because they are busy! If you want to try traditional old fashioned Italian food like they eat back in Italy you have to try this restaurant.
