A Tavola is house in an old house. The vibe is great and the staff make you feel like you're a house guest. It is gorgeous. The wait staff, the food, the intimate atmosphere, the decor, the wine. Just sublime. We had cerviche, spicy octopus and sausage pasta, beef flank and cremino al cioccolato for dessert. It tasted perfect and was wonderfully presented.

I love their Bondi restaurant, i go here regularly with my family. They are great with the kids, and we all love the fresh pasta. Prices are fair.

The food here is wonderful and there's also a wide range of meals available to suit a larger market.

A Tavola is by far one of my most favourite restaurants in Sydney.
You must book ahead as it is full everytime i visit.
At first i wasnt sure about a communal table, but after i ate there with my partner we found it was actually more intimate as you have to move closer to hear what the other is saying, i thought this was rather nice!
The food is so tasty, i have so many favourite dishes.
I also love that the chef cooks up whatever he feels on the day and whatever may be in season, making the pasta freshly cooked each day.
The staff are just delightful, friendly and patient when reading through the Italian menu!

Loved every minute of it. Near perfect food with so much flavour and imagination, and huge portions! Lovely service and personable staff. Felt like I was round at someones (rather large) house for dinner. Wonderful experience and highly recommended. Get a table if you can!

I reallly really like the streamers placed over the kitchen window. Gives it a very authentic italian vibe! The place is quite small, cosy perhaps. :)

Service is very good - the waiters are very cheery people and very attentive. They helped us through their somewhat complicated menu. The pasta is very soft with lots of mozarella! The fettucine is very thin and very different to what I've had before. The boscaiolo sauce was devine. It was good that the servings were small because the dishes can be somewhat on the salty side.

Approximate cost: $30
