Hi i was in hurry to buy a car in December so find one and went there to have a look...went for a test drive and the car was having problems...the kind man [redacted name] tried to fix it on the spot but as a suggestion I made it was the alternator the battery was wrong one but the mechanic disagreed...I took it to mechanic and I replaced it...short story long probably for their mechanic who should check cars carefully before selling them and what I should have done properly too:
Underfelt of the driver side flooded because of a leaking seal on the brake servo unit
Wrong battery
One burnt flasher light
Can Flasher relay faulty
Heater matrix bypassed and not working inside
Warped front rotors
Rear rotors and brake pads worn
Car poorly partially resprayed
Shocks absorbers need attention
Timing belt due to km to be done right away
For the money paid next time I would think more carefully before buying a car

Approximate cost: $3800

I took my car in looking to trade for another, which had ended up being sold only 3 days before I had managed to come in with my car. I was told to wait as the car was meant to be returned, the new buyer had changed their mind. I waited for 5 days, still no car returned, so decided to pick something else. I was told the car I chose had a value of $4,990 I would need a loan for roughly $1,500, so assuming my car was going to be traded for $3,500. I ended up deciding on a car valued at $3,000, worth much less than my current car would have been sold for, I asked if he would consider a straight swap, which was a legitimate question. I explained my car had received several thousand dollars worth of repairs, had a long rego and low km's, I noted the car I chose had no rego, high km, oil leak and window seals needed replacing. Not only was my offer for a swap refused but the dealer I was speaking to started to get nasty, insulting my car, calling it a "piece of junk" to put it politely. I was genuinely interested in buying a car, but did not warrant to be treated less than a valued customer over the deal.
