Highly recommend The Rhino Room for a private function!
Awesome party space, awesome staff!
My 50th will be a night I won’t forget!
Thanks Mick!
It's hard to review a little local legend like Comedy at the Rhino. Do I give it five stars, because there is nothing else like it in Adelaide and it's a great experience?
Or do I give it three, because sometimes the comedy is a bit juvenile, and many budding comedians seem to rely on some very unappetising, stale cheap laughs?
I'm definitely not a prude by any stretch; I love Bill Hicks and Dave Chapelle and Hanna Gadsby. They do controversy with punch.
I have gone to Comedy nights here a number of times and absolutely loved it. But I do think that there should be a bit of guidance for young comedians from the seasoned professionals in the circuit; to help them develop a more edgy and less tired routine with less reliance on 'creepy uncle' jokes and the like. It's good when it's done with flair, but often it's not!
The service at the Rhino is great, the bar staff sometimes have a little chat with customers and the atmosphere is great. All in all, I always have a great time!
I definitely recommend it.
I like the sound of this place, certainly enjoy a bit of comedy. Will have to go in the near future. Thanks.
Great little comedy club. Went to open mike night on Monday night which only cost $10 to get in. Was great to experience some new comics even though some were a little cringe-worthy.
they have a little bar there where you can buy drinks. I didn't see any food (other than packets of chips) but noticed some people had brought in their coffee (and I think one guy had brought in a kebab) so you might be able to bring your own food in. I'm not 100% sure on this though - they could have just been regulars that were very familiar with the place.
A good experience all round - well worth $10!
Approximate cost: $10
A funky little room for hosting functions and events. There is a lack of seating which can be annoying, but the service is good and atmosphere great.
Rhino Room is a satisfactory venue for Adelaide Comedy nights. It's cosy and goes for an intimate kind of feel. They generally get a little over crowded and some people of forced to stand, which is a hassle, and if you sit at the back on the couches, the lights tend to shine in your eyes. Overall, if you get a good seat then if not bad.
“Yes..we hire Steve. He a lovely person..great personality. Can't wait for him to”…
