I have not been able to get a refund for a faulty ant farm after two months of emails to Toy Universe.
If you want more info, you can also look at google reviews for this company etc. I don't know what happened, they used to be great, but they have just seemed to have lost their way lately.
Ok, we have had a few mix ups with these guys and I have to say, enough is enough. The last straw came when I discovered that one of the drivers had either accidentally or purposefully added around $4 to the order, so that I got charged more than the order actually was. The only reasons for this is either the driver is so bad at maths he can't be trusted, or he is a thief. I don't know which, and I don't care.
I emailed customer service about the issue, which happened in conjunction with another issue, and the consultant said 'if he found anything he would get back to me'. I had ALREADY found something - he just needed to easily double check MY maths, and he would have come to the same conclusion I did - yet he never got back to me.
Although some of the customer service has been better than this, overall I can no longer trust or recommend delivery boyz.
The store is a good place to eat, with a slick menu with lots of options for both vegetarians and meatlovers like myself. The decor is great; there are many different areas to choose from and a pretty outdoor area. However, the service still lets the store down a little. One example: I was dining alone after a hairdressing appointment in the area, when the restaurant was near empty. and the waiter seemed bored. Rather than do some task, he was looking out into the dining area, and a little too often at me.
Of course waiters have to check their customers are being looked after: but there's a line between giving your customer space and making them feel awkward!
I have felt this before at the store- a sense of the staff not quite getting the service right. I've found I've either had to hunt for one, or that they have been too busy cleaning or whatever to serve me, or have been too visible, without giving enough privacy.
Otherwise, a great restaurant.
Fantastic local fresh fruit and veg vendors. The prices are good but not great, but the quality is so fantastic. If you're looking for a local fruit and veg store, this place is fantastic!
Unlike other home doctor services, Medvisit is a small Adelaide business, which is attempting to grow and develop.
I was ill a few weeks ago, and contacted Medvisit for a locum doctor. I was given the usual home doctor spiel: the doctor would be up to 3 hours, and would call me as I specified, rather than knock on the door, as I didn't want to wake my boyf or the neighbors.
However, the doc took ages and ages to arrive. I called the service, and kept being given the run around. I have not experienced this level of miscommunication from a doctors' service before.
I was so sick that eventually I did choose to cancel the doctor, because I just needed to get some sleep! However, hours later, he turned up anyway, knocking loudly on the door. I understand that this was probably a glitch or a communication issue, and this happens when businesses are just starting up.
However, I feel this was a failed opportunity to get a new customer, as I usually use a different service, and had actually googled 'home doctor service' and called the first one on the list, because I didn't really care whether I used the same service as usual or not!
I do wish Medvisit the best, and perhaps they will get better - I would use them again in a year, after they have ironed out the glitches.
The German Club is still going strong! It's a funny little place, a rabbit warren of various rooms with secret-seeming goings on.
The food is just good, not spectacular, but it IS cheap and authentic, and you'll enjoy the quaintness of the kransky and sauerkraut and the like... lots of fun to go there with friends for the exceptionally cheap drinks and the lovely atmosphere.
If you're interested in a different experience, the German Club will deliver!
We just popped in here for a quick drink, more out of curiosity than anything else, because we were eating in the area and had arrived early for a booking at a favourite restaurant.
We were impressed by the laidback elegance of the place, and loved the wood and lovely, homey details. I am told it looks fairly authentic.
Some of the drinks are a bit more expensive, but that's to be expected with the type of place. We just had cider and cheap beer, but will be coming back for meals and sake, because it looked so great!
Lots of people know this place for the party bangers it spews out onto Hindley street until all hours of the morning on a weekend. And, knowing this, they might assume the alehouse is not their kind of place.
But the D&D actually does great food! It's reasonably priced, and there are old favourites, such as crispy, delicious chips and steak with diane or whatever sauce, as well as lovely snacks like croquettey things and dumpling type things.
If you're staying in the area, or around Hindley street for work, it's a great place to grab a bite and watch the people go by, sitting in the Alfresco area!
Off ya tree offers piercing and piercing items as well as clothing. When I had a bad piercing in my ear, I went to Off Ya Tree and was recommended a different piece of jewelry to fit the spot better.
This fixed the issue with my peircing; the one the peircer had used had obviously been too small.
Thanks Off Ya Tree, great job! :-)
Since moving to North Adelaide, I'm finding it really hard not to stop in at TuYu on my way home from work and uni. I love this place, they have beautiful stuff and so many brilliant Oz designers.
My only gripe is that I have put on a fair amount of weight in my bust, and now often fit into a size 14 tops. But TuYu brands don't always do 14s. I do wish they chose to stock more alternative brands with 14s, so that I could buy more lovely things!
