When I was let down badly by the Suburban taxi I had pre booked not turning up (see my review for Suburban) I contacted Adelaide Independent Taxi company and even though it was peak traffic time, they managed to find me a taxi so I could get to my important appointment for the special tests which were only being done that day. I had let the specialist know I would still be coming but would be late. With the help of the lovely driver Hifizat, I managed to be only 20 minutes late. Thank you Adelaide Independent Taxi company for your excellent service and help.

Hello,
Feed back from our last trip using your service.
We had pre ordered a maxi taxi, for 5 PM pick up, earlier that morning.
The taxi arrived 20 minutes late for the pick-up, leaving my family (with a 10 month old baby) standing on the side of the road in 30 degree heat.
Once we had loaded into the taxi we confirmed our destination, Outer Harbour, and the driver started heading South.
I pointed out to the driver that we were heading the wrong direction and that the express way ramp was right there. He responded with 'But you were on the wrong side of the road'.
We then passed 3 opurtunities to perform U turn (legally) to start heading in the right direction, one of which was a dedicated U turn lane.
The driver took us completely out of the way and turned a 20 minute trip into a 40 minute ride. (See attached picture).
I challenged him at the end of trip and gave him $60 instead of the $68 on the meter, Which in hindsight was likely still too much.
He just shrugged his shoulders and drove away.

I rely on taxis and these guys I trust. I've never had to wait long, and their cars are always clean & tidy. They have great customer experience, and seem to know whether your up for a chat or not, which is always good.

Always a reliable taxi company and the only one I use when in Adelaide. The taxi drivers are always professional and courteous and know where they are going. The drivers are efficient and reliable and I have never had a problem getting home from the city after a big night out.

I ordered a taxi to take me into town on a Saturday night. At 4.30 the wait was 20 minute, which is quite long I think, and I'm not sure if it is standard procedure now but he sat out the front honking when he got here. I had to direct him to Cross Road, one of Adelaide's main roads, and he just about gave me whiplash at every braking opportunity. This is why I normally drive!

I was not impressed with this company at all, felt overcharged and the driver was very rude, and was speeding at times.

I found that most drivers had a respnable amount of knowledge regarding the most direct route to my destinations and always friendly.

Whenever I need a taxi I phone Adelaide Independent. These guys take pride in their cabs because they own their own vehicles, and are always friendly and know where they are going! Great company.

I love that you can have a chat with the cabbie or just feel a little seedy and stay silent and the cabbies dont care. Prompt, clean, friendly, reliable. Fair price for getting you home safely
