After Hours GP Clinic

It is great to have this service especially as I have young children who tend to get sick quickly. It is in a convenient location just opposite the hospital, and we have been sent across to the hospital when the doctor felt it necessary. It is more expensive though - about $90 with only some of that redeemable through medicare. Don't forget to take your coins though, as street parking requires a ticket even late at night.

I have used this service a few times and never had a bad Dr. I paid $85.00 for a consultation and got about $40.00 back. I have never had to wait very long which can really mean a lot when you don't feel well. Parking around the area can be tricky.

Our nephew had a bad flu attack and we had to take him over. It was good to know that there is an accessible clinic after hours without necessarily being in the hospital emergency. The doctor goes from 8-1130pm Mon to Fri and even Saturdays 1pm-11:30pm, sun and holidays 12 md-1130pm. It certainly reassured us that we are in good hands if we need to have sudden consults.
