Last night I experienced some of the worst service ever when visiting the air bar with my sister who I was seeing off back to her home in Bahrain.
I think it is reasonable to expect basic courtesy at any service outlet where I am a paying customer. The staff were just plain rude. I would be embarrassed to take any visitors there in the future.
It is a real pity that Melbourne Airport does not take more pride in providing a better service for what could be the very first or last experience someone has in Australia - shame!

We had 1 hour until boarding,so we thought we have plenty of time to have some lunch. We ordered at 1pm ( 1 serve of the Cesar Salad and one Serve of Stake Sandwich $42.00). I did ask to be served at 1.30, when we were told that it is going to be another 10 minutes . The Staff was responding quit rudly saying that they are not a Fastfood Outlet.
We were served at 1240 and as a result nearly missed the Plane. The food was eatable but nothing outstanding after 40 minutes of waiting ( a Contestant on Masterchef would do better and they are Amateurs ) It was quite busy but everyone is waiting for Service and why is the Bar not open? All in all never again or You might miss your Flight

Ordered four coffees which took a while, fair enough that it is busy, however coffees came out different to our orders. Weak Caffe Lattes was strong, not to mention way too much foam. Hot Chocolate came with chocolate and foam overflowing on the sides of cup.
