This is a great place for a quick inexpensive and tasty feed. The food is great, plentiful and tasty. It can be a little noisy at times and isn't where I'd go for a romantic dinner but it's a great local eatery - you definately won't leave here hungry and it's fantastic value for money.

Approximate cost: $12-14

Being Good Friday today its a ghost town in Melbourne to find somewhere to eat .... i was pleased to see that this place was open as we drove past today.

I ordered a falafel (as I do not meat on this holy day) which came on turkish bread, homus and tabouleh. it was delicious full of good flavours and very generous serve. I struggled to eat all of it!

the service was good enough, the young lady who served me was polite and made my lunch very quickly.

priced about $7.80 was a reasonable lunch.

Had a dinner here for a Turkish friends reception. Food was plentiful and they serve alcohol here as well so all good there. Staff friendly enough and food all tasted fine so not gourmet but tasty enough.

Have been going to this Turkish restaurant and take away for just on 20 years. The decor never changes and could do with a makeover. Service is mediocre, my experience has been some wait staff will take your order correctly and others not as well :) The menu is very long and when my son was little we went there regularly and the same order week to week would come out slightly different. The bread made on site is good and keeps coming and the meats good too. Very inexpensive night out and you won't leave hungry. The take away doner kebabs are the best I've tasted in the area and the dips are good. For the sweet tooth there are a huge variety of Turkish sweets available on display and in take home packs at a modest price. During winter can be a chilly place so rug up.
On Friday and Saturday a flower seller does the rounds so if your on a date be prepared to possibly buy a rose or stuffed toy for your lady. Overall cheap filling tasty food in a not so intimate setting.

This place serves delicious food. Very close to Indian food. This was the first place I tried in Sydney road. Service is a little on the okay side. Can't blame them it's so busy all the time. Anyway ppl may find it expensive but it is money's worth.

Approximate cost: $18

Pretty easy to get value for money here. Meat is tasty. Cacik tasted plain and just bad. Yet one of their other dips (it might have been hummus) was excellent. The lachmacun was okay, but a bit thick for lachmacun. The peynirli (spinach and cheese) however.. the absolute worst I've ever had. I didn't think it was possible for it to taste bad, but it did. :( Really thick- a combination of too much filling and the ingredients being cut too thick. I would come back, but you couldn't pay me to eat the peynirli- avoid it.

As for service- non existent. We tried for ages to flag someone down from our table once we'd finished. I had to wander around with my plate and flag someone down to wrap it up to take home. They weren't even very busy. The restaurant in particular only had 3 tables occupied.

They have a desserts section where you can buy packs to take home with you. I enjoyed the different flavours of turkish delight.

With so many Turkish and middle eastern restaurants along Sydney Road, its hard to know where to dine!

I have been to this restaurant several times, the first time on the recommendation of a friend - gotta love word of mouth!

Its a good place to eat authentic cuisine which is freshly cooked. The breads are so soft and the meat just melts in your mouth, which goes well with the dips.

Great place to eat, highly recommend it.

Consistently good food. Service is friendly & efficient. Decor could do with a makeover.

A good place to go with a group and indulge in a few different dishes. If you are unable to fit in dessert, I recommend taking some away! The Turkish delight, lady fingers and baklava are always a hit.

I make a special effort to travel to Alasya for Turkish food. I love the meat platters, selection of dips, borek and turkish pide (they have their own bakery) and ALWAYS leave with a take away selection of desserts (baklava, turkish delight, kadin parmagi, pasa. This business is owned and run by a family since 1978 so it is consistent.
