I would like to share my "Positive " experience with "Hair on the Park".. readers please keep in mind that what you are reading is a true experience I had recently and the Damage caused to my hair in this blog WAS NOT CAUSED IN THIS SALON.. Hair On the Park is helping with my recovery from Damage caused by another Salon on the Gold Coast in the Helensvale area.... Here's my story. I hope this will help another person from making the same mistake.
Just like every other 39 year old women out there, I wanted a "New Look" for my 40th Birthday!...I have thick dark brown hair with the greys starting to show more and more. So I wanted to have a colour and style that would work with my ageing look.. Sounds simple, well little did I know that this was going to turn into the Biggest regret I have ever had.

I was a regular at the Hairsalon that I used to attend in Helensvale. The stylist and I spoke about the look I had in mind and I was given the false impression that this colour and look was ok to do. So the day came before my birthday week end and the process for my new look started.
My hair was bleeched and left an unattractive orange patchy colour that was visually very uneven.I was shocked at the colour result, and asked to come back in 2 days to redo the bleeching process. This only made my allready damaged hair take on more abuse. My hair almost turned to "Jelly" it was so heart breaking and still no where near the results that were spoken of. By this time I was sure to have given up on the whole hope of saving any part of this New Look. I was embaressed to go out and even face people at work whome have been excited to see the results of my time in the salon. The damage and the expenss caused was unjustified. I was made to walk out wet as drying my hair was causing it to snap and the conditon of my hair was beyond repair at this stage. I wasnt offered anything but a free toner to take home and do myself...dishartened by the whole ordeal..I resorted to wearing my hair back in a bun so as to hide most of this gastly orange dry frizzed out hair . I put up with this horror for a month .Until I found Hair on the Park. Thank Goodness for Alicia and Amber and all the staff there. After consulting with Alicia, I was more than happy to undergo a treatment program and trust my hair in Alicia's hands.
I had a fibreceutic treatment there and my hair is starting the healing process and feeling a lot better. I would recomend to all, that before you have any ideas of changing your look that you have a talk to the staff at Hair on the Park. I would be in a better place right now if I had been here first!.
Hair on the Park is my Salon from now on and I would strongly recomend the salon to all I know from now on.I was treated with more respect by the staff of Hair on the park salon who had not one thing to do with the damage caused to my hair and the salon who did this to me, have offered nothing than a free toner.People beware when it comes to your hair!

I have been meaning to arite for a while. My teenage daughter has long disliked her curly hair, and has been trying to grow it for years and would spend hours using a straightening iron each day. We went and saw Alicia and she was so lovely and told us ab out the Bio- Ionic hair straightening. She was honest and told us upfront how much it was etc...My daughter decided to get it done and it is the best $ I have ever spent..she feels good about herself and her hair, and has not touched a hair staightener for weeks and she can now wet it and wear it.- no fuss or time..everyone who knows her including family are so suprised by it.....Very Happy !!

Wow!!! I felt I was treated like a VIP. I just recently moved to the Gold Coast area and needed to find a hairdressing salon that could match a certain blonde colour which can be difficult. My colour they matched was perfect first go and I had it styled for a party and received many compliments. It reached all my expectations and more.

Fantastic! I found all the staff very professional and caring. I had hair extensions put in and curled, was very happy with the result. Would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

I had been researching permanent hair straightening for months & came across the Bio Ionic hair straightening used at Hair on the Park. I have extremely curly & frizzy hair which refuses to straighten with a normal hair straightening iron. I have had my hair blow dried and straightened with an iron on several occasions and my hair remains straight for about 1 hour before it becomes frizzy again. Due to my hair being so unruly, I never wore it out & always had it pulled back. After years of wearing my hair up, I finally decided I wanted a change. I came across the WOMOW site and read through all of the reviews recommending Hair On the Park, particularly those about the Bio Ionic Hair Straightening Treatment they offered. I called Hair On The Park that same day and made an appointment for the following week. The girls addressed all of my concerns about the hair straightening treatment and I immediately felt at ease. The following week I went in for my appointment with Victoria and I can honestly say it's the best decision I have ever made. My hair is now straight and so easy to maintain. After 27 years of seeing me with frizzy hair, I was worried about what my family and friends would think of my new hair, but they were just as amazed with the result as I was. It has been a few months since getting the Bio Ionic Treatment done and after several washes, my hair is still straight :) I have since been back for a cut & colour and the service I receive each time is second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending Hair on The Park to all of my family & friends. Thank you so much to all of the girls at Hair On The Park for my new hair!!

I really enjoy going to Hair on the Park. The girls are lovely and very attentive and I am always happy with my hair. I have also started having my eyebrows waxed and eyelashes tinted in their beauty room (which is lovely) its very reasonably priced and they do a great job!

Had a beautiful keratine treatment done here this week. My hair looks amazing, so sleek and like a beautiful natural shine. Treatment was relaxing, included wash and quick trim, every offered to colour before the treatment at a discount, but im happy with colour, impressed by the discount. Recommended to all my gfs!

Finding a great hairdresser is something that I think is important for most women who care about how they look.

After researching for a new hairdresser after another bad experience with a poor and uncaring salon/hairdresser, my hair was in an awful state and my confidence pretty low. My first experience with Alicia and her team was just exceptional as has been every subsequent visit I make to Alicia's lovely salon.

Hairdressing is such a skill and Alicia really is a consummate professional. The care and attention she takes is just wonderful and the end result always leaves me feeling fabulous. Great colour and a great cut but so much more! Apart from the great service she provides, Alicia is such a warm and caring person and such a pleasure to know and I cannot recommend her and Hair On The Park highly enough.
