Allans Music has been a leading business in their field for many years, but sadly after many sell-outs and take-overs they seem to have lost sight of their original purpose as a knowledgeable and well-stocked music business.

My husband wished to purchase a small, fold-up music stand and was amazed to be told that they actually did not have any in stock. If he cared to come back next week they might be able to get one in for him.

Their retail focus seems to have shrunk to selling guitars and drums. Go elsewhere if you require anything different.

Excellent range of instruments on offer, and the prices range from pretty good to way-over-the-top. Service is ok, though I took an acoustic guitar in to be repaired and they lost the case for it. After much whinging on my part they swapped it for something better, then after 2 days they magically found my case again. So, they might be all smiles and knowing, but their organisational skills are a little be lacking.

a nice range of guitars for purchase, but the customer service could be better. they are not particularly knowledgeable but are better than nothing. The prices are acceptable considering the size of their store.

Great place to spend some time browsing through top quality musical instruments. The staff are helpful, there is a big range and they know what they're talking about

I really like Allans. There is a big range of books and musical instruments and equipment. I go there because I can be sure I'll find what I need. Just have a look!

My experience at Allans Music is generally good. The service is what you would expect and there is a massive range of guitar products, which is something that’s important to me as a customer. I tend to go here first for a price and then shop around. I do tend to go back.
