We stayed here again recently, as our ‘half way stopover’ & it’s always great value. The staff are always friendly & accommodated us on short notice. The rooms are always clean & milk on arrival for that long awaited cuppa. The bathroom/toilet is clean & the bed is very comfortable. Rooms are a good size to move around. And they allow pets. The only complaint is aimed at pet owners who aren’t picking up their pets poo. It’s hard to find accommodation that accommodates pets, so do the right thing & pick up your pets poo out the back of the motel & this business will always accomodate pet owners. Don’t spoil it for others. I don’t want poo on my shoe thanks. Great affordable accomodation with a small fee for your pet to stay as well.

The Allawa Motel is on the corner of Hume st and Olive st. Hume street is the main drag for vehicles heading north but the motel seems insulated from the highway noise as we spent a very comfortable and quiet night here. The room with 2 breakfasts cost $113, very reasonable in today's market as there is also free WiFi available to all rooms. Most motels these days either charge for WiFi or limit its use, not here. Our experience was one of pleasure not pain and we have put this motel on our "places to stay in Albury" file. Definitely stay here again.

This accommodation is very clean, tidy and has tea/coffee making facilities w/microwave. It has pet-friendly rooms and you must mention your pet is staying with you when you book. Bed is very comfy and although Allawa is basic accommodation, it is very comfortable and the managers are very helpful and friendly. We stayed over Easter 2013 and there was burning off in the area so it was very smoky and the top of the door had a small uneven gap which did let in some of the smoke but otherwise a great place to stay and we couldn't hear any other visitors at all. Good stay!! And a pet-friendly place!! A $15 fee for the dog...
