The London Hotel Motel is situated in Ardlethan on the corner of Mirrool St and Burley Griffin Way, alongside the rail line. Even with this location the motel itself is very quiet and peaceful. Being only small in size, 7 units, this equates to country hospitality and conviviality at its best. It is a short 600 metres off the Newell Highway and since the railway doesn't run very frequently this is not a problem. The meals are very nice and being in the country they are of immense proportions, you will not go away hungry. Meals are available 7 days a week at the usual meal times. The Units are comfortable with split system air con and are good by any standards. That is all we look for in a motel.... clean and comfortable. This is a nice place to stay for overnight during your travels or even for an extended stay and take in the local sights. Ardlethan is the home of the Kelpie, this is where the breed of Kelpie dog is supposed to originate from. We will definitely stay here again.

After trying and being dissatisfied with another dental Prosthetist in the area I decided to give Terry Cominos a try. From the very first appointment I knew I had made a good choice this time. He is very professional in his approach to setting up and executing the manufacture and fitting of the dentures, these are my 4th set now and are indeed the absolute best of any preceding sets I have ever had. The cost was reasonable, in fact $100 cheaper than my last ill fitting set from another source. I am now hooked and will be a repeat customer here for the rest of my life. Well done Terry.

We stayed in a King room for $89 including a light breakfast of cereal etc which is great value for Albury. The rooms all have new 32 inch TV's, great instead of trying to squint at a tiny screen all night, The rooms themselves aren't immense but that may be because of the size of the king bed, but they are clean and comfortable. Free WiFi is now available, another bonus. One minor drawback is the car parking arrangements, you cannot park outside your room, there just isn't the space for it. All parking is on a rear wall which is ok unless it was raining, then it would be a problem. The motel is quite central to most amenities and the main street for shopping etc. To sum up the review .... yes we would stay here again it is a comfortable 3 star motel.

The operator viewed and quoted on cleaning 2 Jason recliners. The quote was accepted, our phone number supplied and we waited for a service date. 12 months later we are still waiting. Not our idea of good business practices. We are very dissatisfied with this company and would never ever recommend them to anyone.

The Allawa Motel is on the corner of Hume st and Olive st. Hume street is the main drag for vehicles heading north but the motel seems insulated from the highway noise as we spent a very comfortable and quiet night here. The room with 2 breakfasts cost $113, very reasonable in today's market as there is also free WiFi available to all rooms. Most motels these days either charge for WiFi or limit its use, not here. Our experience was one of pleasure not pain and we have put this motel on our "places to stay in Albury" file. Definitely stay here again.

We came down the horrendous stretch of road from Corryong and were very glad when we finally arrived at Omeo. After the road we were really looking forward to a hot shower and a good nights sleep. The proprietor insisted we check out the room first, which we did and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the furnishings. The TV was of a goodly size about 34 inch which for our failing eyesight is a good size. The bed was very comfortable, the showers hot and the motel was off the main road and hence it was quiet. In the morning the breakfast arrived at the expected time and was the usual motel fare of bacon and eggs toast and tomato. The room and 2 breakfasts came to $128 which we thought was very reasonable. Our overall experience at this motel was very positive and we would not hesitate in staying here again

The takeaway is run by two girls who are fastidious in their cleanliness. The whole place was sparkling. We ordered Burgers and chips, the burgers were as expected.. tasty and filling but the chips were something else. Non greasy hot crisp and delicious. Obviously a lot of locals thought the same as it was very well patronised. Good value for money.

We turned up in the afternoon without a booking and found the owner up a ladder painting a balcony. He was very friendly and came down and booked us in with no problem. Being in the off season (spring) he gave us a $3 discount on the room and a $3 discount a head on breakfast. He insisted we check out the room before saying we'd take it, so we did. There was nothing wrong with the room and we had a pleasant quiet nights sleep. The only picky thing I could find was the flat screen tv was a bit small, around 19 inch. We would stay here again.

The delicious smells emanating from this shop were too good to resist. Being a pie connoisseur, I naturally had to have a pie. Good decision. The pie was very weighty and as it turned out there was no way I could have eaten another, Good value for $4. The choices here were tremendous, but there is only so much you can eat at one time, the girls are very courteous and helpful. Very tasty experience

We noticed a sign outside the motel that enticed us with a $69 per night per double. It is situated at the top of the hill before the descent into Merimbula and every room here has a magnificent view looking down over the lake, the town and the fishpen, not to mention the ocean as well. The room was clean, well appointed, microwave and flat screen tv. We ended up staying 2 nights and having a real good relax, we will definitely stay here again as the managers were very friendly and helpful with directions on attractions in the area.
