Job not completed properly / they would not return phone calls / did NOT show up for agreed appointments to fix job and didn't even give us a courtesy call to let us know they weren't coming - they just kept doing a no show ! We have now used True Local.com for a number of resources and have found it a great source for reliable tradesman but 'Allwright Plumbing' certainly had proved to us to be a rotten apple in the bunch. Although the job (which was the installation of new kitchen taps and bathroom and shower taps) was initially completed as agreed, our kitchen tap became loose in less than a week. Fair enough we though and this wasn't necessarily the main problem but it was their total lack of concern afterward and refusal to answer calls that became very frustrating. they initially agreed to come back one morning at 7:30am. When they hadn't showed up by 9:30am we gave them a call and they simply said that he had 'forgot' our appt. they then rebooked for another morning (we were again told they would be here first thing before 8am) and once again, after they hadn't turned up by 10am, we called them only to have them tell us that they had 'double booked' jobs and was in the city and wouldn't be able to see us that day (mind you all this was done without so much of a hint of apology - even though they knew this time that we were waiting and they had our phone numbers). When we spoke, they told us they would call us back later to arrange another day but you guessed it, no call ever came. For two weeks we patiently tried to ring, leave messages etc to try to follow up but the only time they would answer calls is when we called him from someone elses phone number and they thought they were getting new business. They eventually did finally come and fix the tap but again this was only after they told us they would be here 'first thing' in the morning and didnt show up till just before lunchtime. I am normally a pretty understanding and patient person and could even understand that they might want to bump our job for another one (where they were getting paid new money rather than just fixing up a previous job) but all I was asking is that they would give us the courtesy of a simple phone call to say 'Hey I wont be able to make it' or 'I'm running late', because I could understand that. When I queried them about this basic lack of courtesy they just said they were 'busy'. Keep using 'True Local' by all means as we plan to, but be sure to pay attention to the reviews. And dont use anyone that lists one number with no business address as you may just well kiss your money goodbye with shoddy work or a total lack of decent service.
