This is one of my favourite places to dine. The chef used to be at Sails on the Bay (another fine dining favourite). His skills have been transferred using impeccable ingredients and a very farm to plate menu. The restaurant itself is small, but nicely designed and located overlooking the river. Its a shame they had to stop serving wallaby as it was a beautiful dish.

If you want a really high class meal for a special occasion then this is the place for you. Exceptional service and will even cater for kids as well.

A very classy and sophisticated eatery in Warrandyte. Quite unexpected, as the locality is much more known for its small cosy traditional cafes with very personal service and rustic home-made goods. Sophisticated avante garde food does not usually appear in warrandyte. Altair clearly shrugs at this reputation, serving up visual and gastronomic delights such as tempura tofu with radish, tomatoes & a grain salad
