There should be a option for no starts just for companies like this. They hire out a truck with missing items, but thats no problem to them because by their logic its up to the customer to ensure they get what they pay for. No hand brake, missing safety locking latches, cracked window screen, missing emergency instructions, key get stuck im the ignition barrel, and they still charge me full price for everything including the fee for the missing item. Not only do they lack ethics and morals but they put people in the community at risk, allowing these unsafe vehicles on the road. However, there day in court is coming, so hopefully the director gets punished and their dogey family business get put where it belongs. The trash..

I booked a truck for today over the weekend. Literally drove out the drive up the road and heard on the radio that Brisbane is going into Lockdown this afternoon at 6pm and returned the truck within a hour. I had booked the truck over the weekend due to the place not having a drop off on Sun.

I was told that I would only get 50% refund because I dropped it back. The manager even told me that I could use the truck till 6pm????

They did offer me credit however I advised them that I didn’t cancel it was Qld Health that made the call.

They couldn’t reason and said that it was policy!

I lost $257 in less than an hour and the manager showed no compassion. Will never use this company again and will advise my network to steer clear of such services!

Renter beware!

I rented a car through Andy’s auto rentals, through a company called airport car rentals. You would think the name would insinuate the car actually been at the airport but no. The car was in Miami so I had to fill out paperwork and send back to the car company a week prior to the trip for them to take the car to the airport. I then found out the car still wasn’t at the airport but at a car park called reddy airport parking. The guy from Andy’s auto rentals said all I have to do is collect my bags after the flight, walk to the end of the airport terminal until I see a roundabout then, call a number on the confirmation email, a shuttle will pick me up and take me to reddy airport parking. A few days later I called again to confirm the number and that everything was going to be ok, given it was 10.30 at night I was arriving. I also said I have a baby and it will be quite hard to get all my bags, baby and pram without help and he said the guy from the shuttle will help me get everything in the mini bus. So I got to the airport, collected my bags and everything else, walked a few hundred metres to the end of the terminal called the number, no answer. I called another 10 times and nothing. I google the reddy airport parking to see if there was another number and there wasn’t but it said they don’t close till 11. It was 10.20 so I walked all the way down the other end of the airport to the taxi rank, got into a taxi and told them to take me to reddy airport parking. $15 later I get there and no one was there. I caught the taxi back to the airport another $15 ran inside to see if I could hire a car through another company but everyone had closed at 10.30. I called Andy’s auto rentals on the emergency number and explained the situation. The guy said he would call back in a few minutes. Meanwhile I’m the only person at the airport standing outside in the cold (because the airport had shut), with a heap of luggage and an overtired crying baby. He called back and said he got onto the shuttle guy who would be there in 5 minutes and in the morning he would refund me for the cab fare. So the guy from reddy carpark rentals called about 15 minutes later and told me he was at the car park. I said I’m not at the carpark I’m at the airport another 10 minutes later he shows up, really apologetic, said the car company usually leave the keys on the bench for the people who need to be picked up that night and the keys weren’t there. He took me to the car yard got me to sign the damage report which then I took a quick scan of the car and found half the dents and scratches weren’t listed, didn’t run me through how the non existent park break worked and told me I was good to go. At this point it was around 12am my baby was still awake, hungry and tired. This mess around took an hour and 40 mins, was incredibly stressful and the only sort of compensation offered was a refund of the cab fare. I would never book through this company again and I would advise others not to.

I wanted to move a dining set but have never hired a vehicle for this situation so called a few companies to ask. When I phoned Andy's Auto Rental to inquire if they could help, spoke with Stacy and Paul who were both very helpful and patient, recommended that we go with either the Hilux or Hiace for automatic and provided an all inclusive quote for 24 hr hire. Ended up hiring the Hiace on the same day for the quoted $103.25 which incl. automatic transmission + 200kms free for the 24hrs + excess of $750 if in a multi-vehicle accident (driver over 25yo). Note: they do need to take a fully refundable deposit of $300 for first time customers. Dining set is all safely transported to new location, very pleased we got to save a lot of money by doing it ourselves and hiring the Hiace went smoothly without any drama!

Great value budget car rental company. Very efficient checkin and checkout service. Conveniently located for Shailer Park residents. Its only 10 minute walk from the Hyperdome to their yard.

We hired a truck for a couple of days and then a car for a week. The costs mounted up but the convenience and reliability of the vehicles outweighed this and were not as expensive as the larger rental companies.
