Due to the fact they operate after hours their business model seems to be to charge in the vicinity of triple what the normal costs would be for anything. They prey on peoples emotions when they are thinking the worst and don't feel like they have any options other than to pay them the money. Have used this extortion centre a couple of times and everytime the costs have been triple what a decent vet would charge. Will never walk thru the door again now that we know about Manly Road Vet Clinic - a much better option.

I am so thankful to all the staff who looked after my dog during his stay. I got great servious and would recommend the vets for after hours.

Vet seemed disinterested (the receptionists however, were lovely) & gave too much information about possible complications and possible treatments before actually telling us what complications our pet had and what treatments it needed (we were overloaded with information that wasn't relevant and had us convinced our pet was doomed to die).

They're only open from 6pm to 8am so you need to transfer your pet in the morning to another vet. There is a clinic associated with them next door but they still require you to be there in person.

We took our pet to our regular vet the next day and when we showed them the itemised cost list they were very unimpressed with the pricing, so much so they showed it to the other members of the clinic who were also shocked by the cost. (Our vet said it would have costed $300 plus $15 per IV fluids bag).

Our pet did receive quality care but I would recommend calling around for another option before settling on AES as it feels we were overcharged simply because it was a night clinic.

I found this practice very caring and professional. They were there when we needed them (very late at night). The prices were reasonable considering the late hour. Unfortunately, our dog was very old and sick and there was nothing to be done, but they were very considerate and practical. I would definitely recommend!

sad when i came in because my guinea pig died but wonderful because they saved my guinea pig it took one night to save her im soooo happy now so happy right now

The vets, nurses and receptionists here all go above and beyond. They are amazingly passionate about animals and I could not recommend them highly enough. When I had an emergency in the middle of the night with my little dog, I took him to AES and received nothing but the best treatment, service and care. The costs were the same as the quote I was given and my dog is now home, as happy as ever. Thank you to Animal Emergency Service for being there for us when our pets do crazy things!!! Hopefully we won't have to visit in the future, but it's so reassuring knowing that you are there, just in case. Keep up the amazing work.

I have taken both our pets to the Animal Emergence Service at Underwood and have been generally pleased with the service on all occasions. It is great to know we have veterinary services so close if needed in an emergency. The costs are high but I wouldn't expect them to be any less when they are offering their services after hours, and the staff always offer a fairly accurate estimate of treatment costs prior to admitting the pet. My only complaint would be that one of the vets was a little arrogant - just a personality thing that I found a little off-putting but nothing major. He was also quite rushed in his approach to seeing our cat on two occasions (admittedly he may have been busy with other emergencies).

My dog has been there for the last 2 days after he ate a toy and it blocked him up. Not impressed with him - he was lucky to not need surgery! They explained everything they were going to do, and when I rang to ask how he was, they were always friendly and I never felt like I was a bother. Unlucky it happened on a weekend so it cost a bit more than going to my normal vet, was still reasonable for an after hours ... I was just grateful they were there.

I loved the way they cared for my baby . Very professional and knowledgable. It was so comforting to know that someone was there caring for my pet throughout the night .

We had to take our darling dog here twice. It was so comforting for us to know that she was being cared for all through the night. I was able to sleep knowing someone was always there should she need them. They rang me the next morning to give me a progress report also. I can't recommend them highly enough.
