I feel like a lot of people either love or hate Aqua S! Their flavours change fortnightly, and sometimes they are very strange although I think they are executed quite well. The soft serve is very smooth and creamy, although I do think the toppings (e.g. fairy floss, toasted marshmallow, popping candy) are a bit of a novelty and don't add much to the actual flavour.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit to the Aqua S in Chatswood wasn't too great. The actual product (soft serve) was delicious, however the service had much to be desired! We arrived to an empty store with no employee in sight. Upon the counter was a bell with a message that read something along the lines of "ring for service, we are on our way :)", which makes me think that this happens often! I rang the bell quite loudly twice and no one came (not sure where they went?!?!) it was about 10 minutes until an employee arrived - perhaps she needed to run to the toilet but there was no apology or recognition that we were waiting. When we sat down to eat our ice cream, there were people's empty cups and dirty tissues/spoons everywhere!! There was also not a bin in sight, which explains why. To our surprise, when we left and the employee was gone again...

This place will appeal to young kids and [redacted due to racial comment] as the concept is quite kitch. Soft serves in unusual colours and flavours and then fully taken to the next level with presentation. I didn't think the flavours were amazing and I also thought that there wasn't much value as you can walk away paying $10 for a soft serve. Kind of place you need to try at least once to see what all the fuss is about.
