Nice outdoor setting overlooking leafy trees and pleasant music at a sensible volume. I chose a special (prawns and scallops which was advertised at $20 on theblackboard. My bill was for $36. When I queried this I was told $20 ws the entree price. On checking teh balckboard it did not say entree or offer alternative prices so the waiter should have told me. They took the bill, obviously re considered my view and did reduce the price. Thefood was delicious but few veges ( 2 sprigs of asparagus) with my fish.

Having just returned to Canberra after 9 years away, and many trips to Europe, especially exploring France, it was refreshing to find Ardeche, not 5 minutes walk from where we live. Last night was our 2nd visit and we were not disappointed. The menu was different to our previous visit last month. This will become our favourite restaurant in Canberra. The only complaint I would have is not enough French wines on the wine list!

We have eaten at Ardeche a number of times whilst living in Canberra and always enjoyed the food and service. We no longer live in Canberra but come back to visit family, so decided to rediscover Ardeche. We were no disappointed, the food and service is still excellent, and recommend it for a delicious meal in a relatively peaceful environment. Reminds us of the typical restaurant/cafe you would find in France. The venue could do with a bit of a make over though.

I was very pleased with my main course, the North African Chicken. It was better than I expected. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

If you want a decent meal right in Civic, Canberra in French style then you can't go wrong with Ardeche Restaurant. Cappuccinos and flat whites are very good too! All for very reasonable prices for the quality of service and freshness of food. You won't regret!

A good solid and authentic French provincial restaurant. Not in the Michelin star league and it doesn't try to be. The food is honest and true to it's origin - you will find this sort of restaurant all over France, serving good tasty local food.

Tres bien food was lovely service was very French and friendly try the champagne it was Lovely to be in the heart of the city and experience a little bit of Montpellier

The Ardeche Restaurant is amazing, the food is excellent, the staff are amazing, i would definitely recommend it to all my friends. a great place for a decent meal
