Great shop and friendly staff. This shop has a great feel to it, I felt i was stepping back into my youth with some of the dresses they sold. There's jewellery, sunglasses etc and men's cloths too. It's a bit expensive but the cloths are unique and they are of good quality.

Was lucky enough to come across Arkive whilst in Surfers on the weekend - it was located beside the cafe we had breakfast at. It's an amazing little store, not too big and full of vintage clothes that you feel overwhelmed but plenty of variety and options. Particuarly in terms of price too - there was stuff at both ends of the price spectrum which is not always the case in vintage stores (overpriced often comes to mind). I ended up buying a GORGEOUS midnight blue dress which I fell in love with (it was $160 but it was my birthday and I was feeling spontaneous) and my boyfriend snagged a 100% wool nordic-style jumper for only $50.

But the best thing about this place has to be the owner. Angie was beyond helpful and gorgeous, was happy to chat and help. I feel a bit sad this shop is not in Brisbane so I can go there regularly but that said, it might be a catalyst for more trips to the coast. Angie emphasised that they turn over stock regularly so there's always something new in store. If you live on the GC/find yourself there at anytime, and you're into vintage clothes, go here - I can guarantee you won't be disappointed
