Have eaten here several times across 3 years and must admit it's has always been consistently good food at decent prices. It's not the finest Italian you'll ever eat and the service won't always leave the best taste in your mouth but it's not whats expected. They don't pretend to be something that they are not but they do whip up a consistenly good pasta or pizza

Approximate cost: $40

Spur of the moment meal at this place, which looked as if it may be new, or at least renovated. We'd just come off a long haul flight from Dubai, had picked up our car to head home but had to stop for petrol ... noticed this place with its inviting outdoor area as I waited for my husband to pay for the petrol, so decided to stop and eat before driving home. We both had pasta, mine a chicken and mushroom penne and my husband had the gnocci. Both dishes were superb, full of flavour and the portions generous (we had left overs that they allowed us to take home). In total the food came to under $25, so quite reasonable. Coffees were delivered quickly and were fine, not what you get in Carlton but above average for a place like this. Other than the kitchen there was only one waitress on, a young girl who seemed to be passionate about her job which made me think it could be family-owned. She was pleasant and attentive and did her job. All in all a lovely little place, albeit tucked into the side of an ugly building in front of an ugly car park ... great if you like concrete! One thing that stood out glaringly was that at 11:15am of a Tuesday my husband and I were the only customers, for the entire hour we were there no-one else came in. That amazed the both of us, especially after tasting the food. Perhaps being at the wrong and ugly end of this local shopping centre does nothing for them, but they are giving it a go and trying hard, have spent a lot of money on fitout and trying to create something intimate ... hope this review gives you a boost Armani's!

Approximate cost: $12-$20.00
