Tucked away in the old Regent theatre lobby this is a little haven. It is very dark inside but that could add to atmosphere. I came in to try the advertised Bircher Muesli and I was not disappointed. They advertise it as a baby Bircher with a small price, under $8, but it was quite generous and ample with a lovely coffee. Would definitely return even though the service was a little indifferent.

A great little place, tucked away from the main thoroughfare of the mall. Service isn't top quality but the coffee is good and the location fantastic. For a city venue, prices are about as expected. I've stopped in here for the occasional coffee and muffin. My only complaint is that I had to send the muffin back to be heated but they were prompt and polite about it. Worth a try!

Aromas is an independent coffee and tea house who roast their own coffee locally in Brisbane. They were one of the original 'coffee shops' that started the coffee shop trend as early as the eighties. Then and now, they continue to serve excellent coffee by trained baristas in cafes with atmosphere and character. The café in the old Regent Theatre in Queen Street Mall is a haven from the touristy hustle and bustle that the Mall is on any given weekday. It is tucked away, and you mostly only go there is you know about the place. It is quiet, cool, somewhat dark (I like to think of it as 'atmospheric') and, if you sit at a table close to the entrance, a wonderful place to peoplewatch while you sip your coffee and refresh yourself with some of the excellent fruit toast. One of my favourite places to go in the City.

Aromas is a lovely tea/coffee house just inside the majestic Queen st mall Regent Cinema. I like this coffee house, its slightly tucked away a little dark but has an cosy, warm feel about it. I have supped both coffee and tea. The coffee is first rate. The chai latte was delicious. Instead of making me up a premade lipton chai Aromas made it properly with a tea strainer and a side jug of hot creamy milk that allowed me to add in the milk once the tea had properly brewed. Infact if I hadn't wanted chai Aromas has a large range of other teas to choose from and I intend to go back and try some out. The service was quick efficient and friendly and you do not have to be a movie goer to patron the cafe.

Approximate cost: $3.50
