This review is for Infinity Massage & Body Therapies, Brisbane QLD

verified email - 20 Nov 2013

The therapists at Infinity Massage and Body Therapies are all very well qualified and experienced. They are friendly and approachable when you talk about the type of pain you are feeling and how they can best help you. I am a long term customer of about 4 years and I will not go anywhere else. I received treatments from all of the therapists and they are all fantastic. The rooms are located in the central CBD, they have HICAPs and their prices are very reasonable. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This review is for Aromas Tea & Coffee Merchants, Brisbane QLD

Aromas is an independent coffee and tea house who roast their own coffee locally in Brisbane. They were one of the original 'coffee shops' that started the coffee shop trend as early as the eighties. Then and now, they continue to serve excellent coffee by trained baristas in cafes with atmosphere and character. The café in the old Regent Theatre in Queen Street Mall is a haven from the touristy hustle and bustle that the Mall is on any given weekday. It is tucked away, and you mostly only go there is you know about the place. It is quiet, cool, somewhat dark (I like to think of it as 'atmospheric') and, if you sit at a table close to the entrance, a wonderful place to peoplewatch while you sip your coffee and refresh yourself with some of the excellent fruit toast. One of my favourite places to go in the City.

This review is for Siam Sunset Thai Restaurant, Kenmore QLD

verified email - 03 Nov 2013

I have been going to Siam Sunset both at Kenmore and Graceville since it opened in Graceville a few years ago (6 maybe?). I love the food and especially the Spicy Thai Fried Rice. Fantastic. I like that the owner and his wife both work in the restaurants and that they have proper Thai chefs. All the waitstaff are also Thai (mainly students) and they are all extremely helpful and cannot do enough for you. Everything I have eaten at Siam Sunset has been fantastic. I will keep going back for as long as they will have me.

This review is for French Martini, South Brisbane QLD

verified email - 03 Nov 2013

French Martini is a cute, friendly, unpretentious haven in the fast becoming crazy, trendy, shamozzle that is the Southbank dining precint. We have been to French Martini 2 or 3 times now before a show. They were very accommodating with our timeframes and made sure we were all done and dusted in time to make our curtain call. The menu is limited to only a few dishes, which they do very well. The only thing I was slightly disappointed by was the desert - it tasted like it had been made a few days ago and stored in the fridge (I know that is the reality for a lot of restaurants....). I love going there as I feel like I am experiencing a little bit of France - even the wait staff are French! Give it a go, its great.

This review is for Laced Espresso, Brisbane QLD

Laced is such a fun place to visit for my cup of java. The staff are all extremely friendly (there are 4 of them crammed into a tiny tiny space) and they converse, have a laugh and a chat as well as make a great cup of coffee. The owner (Scott?) also makes a 'muffin of the day' - you can suggest muffins on his 'muffin wall' and you might be lucky and he will make it. I love going there of a morning :-)

This review is for Thia Yes Indeed, Bellbowrie QLD

Fantastic service, from waitresses who remember you, always nice. Everything I have had has been lovely. It's very well priced and they do a good job with the decor (given it is in a shopping centre). Certainly recommend it for take away and eat in.

This review is for Judy Mackay Specialist Hair Design, Kenmore QLD

verified email - 01 Nov 2013

I followed Emily to Judy Mackay Hairdressers, and she was great. Lovely, very personable, a good haircut and colour. Like most hairdressers today, I think they charge too much, but $150 for cut, semi permanent colour and blow dry seems to be the going rate. Unfortunately, Emily has moved on and I have not tried the other hairdressers yet. Definately worth going to if you are local.

Approximate cost: $150
