My latest visit will be its last. Had a horrible experience when trying to buy a DVD boxset.

I asked about the returns policy and they only offered an exchange or store credit.

When I pointed out that by law I am entitled to a refund, the staff response was quote "Then you better not buy it here."

Staff actively go against the Australian Consumer Law in that regard so buyer beware. Or better yet, talk to the staff first to see if they have come to their senses and have decided to operate within the law.

My Experience with As Good As New was, As Good As Gold, every few weak's i go back with $20,00-, and walk out with a arm full of DVD's to watch.
I almost always buy something at As Good As New, whether it's a DVD or a game.
I suggest you visit if you want DVD's and games for a good price.

Fantastic help and the prices were more than reasonable. I picked up a great gold chain with a gorgeous pendant. Honestly, the staff were so helpful, especially the tall grey haired bloke with the goatee :-)

went there recently looking for a secondhand stereo and was astounded by their high prices...for a secondhand retailer they are anything but cheap, i would not even consider going back again

I honestly wonder how places like this make any sort of money.

For second hand goods - every single thing I saw/interested in was way way WAY overpriced. Items could be purchased new for cheaper.

Staff not really helpful, didn't seam like they wanted to acknowledge anyone coming in, and if you want to see something behind the glass - forget it, they make you feel like its a chore for them.

Without a word a lie I saw same stock sitting on the selves from the previous visit (months inbetween), same outragious price.

Don't bother visiting unless you want to see eBay prices +30% on top.
