Great coffee here at Auction Rooms Cafe... Almond croissants are delicious here too but sell out quickly cos they're popular

Amazing coffee and almond croissants from here. Service is quick and efficient. Sitting in the back garden is a nice spot. Be prepared to queue for a table on the weekend

I can't express enough how much I love this place! Their coffee is the stand out for me and their rich hot chocolate comes in a close second. It also has a really lively vibe and atmosphere. Definitely don't give this place a miss.

Amazing coffee!! Love their food. But...their coffee is just absolutely amazing. I wish I could visit every day. Their venue and atmosphere are also fantastic. Really great vibe. Did I mention the awesome coffee?

This place is always busy on weekends but I never really have to wait long for table. The Hot chocolate here is always so rich and creamy. Staffs are always very efficient. My favorite is the breakfast board- so filling and satisfying.

Auction Rooms is by classification a cafe.
But their menu and their execution of the dishes promised, suggests otherwise.
The menu is select, seasonal and offers a number of breakfast, lunch and side dishes.
This is what we had.
Banana & walnut bread with espresso butter & maple syrup - $10
Poached blue eye with soft omelette, pippies, chrysanthemum and a soft steamed bun - $19
Rabbit escabeche with butter poached prawns, green garlic aioli & sweet pepper sauce - $18
Sides of Roasted whole snap peas; ham & patatas bravas with romesco; iceberg lettuce wedge salad with blue cheese dressing - $5.50 each
Everything was executed and presented beautifully with precision. This was restaurant grade cooking.
I really liked the casual, relaxed vibe at auction rooms with the restaurant grade food alongside.

Auction Rooms is an old fave in the North Melbourne area. You'd still find there are wait times of 20-30 mins on the weekend but because of the large space and quality food, its worth it. My recommendation is the French toast, it could possibly be one of the most delicious items on their list.

Approximate cost: $20-30

Auction Rooms keeps evolving. And it always offers something interesting. Most recently, we went and had poached eggs with sides of ham & potato stacks and sausage. Classic country farm house food. The coffee thankfully does not change too much, it is always lovely every time, regardless of whether you have it filtered, espresso or dripped, hot or cold, with or without milk.

Love love love this place for breakfast and brunch. The lines on a saturday are a true reflection of their quality food and service. Friendly wait staff and coffee to die for.
