I've used John at AUSDOG 20 years ago with my first dog Eddie a Labrador puppy and from that moment I trusted John 100% I have called upon him again with my rescue dog Tina a Border Collie x Kelpie who came with lots of baggage, John again used his expertise to help sort out the problems. His ability to understand dogs and educate people is truly outstanding. Anyone who follows John's advice will have success Yes he is straightforward but he is absolutely honest for the right reasons.

We contacted Ausdog for help training our whippet puppy. Dean’s advice was logical and easy to follow and we had immediate results. After sifting through a plethora of conflicting info on the web it was a relief to have a clear path to follow. A great investment and highly recommended.

John's teachings have literally changed our dogs, for the better. John has a firm, no nonsense approach to dog training. He spent time with us alone before meeting the dogs to help us better understand the nuances of dog behaviour and within the first hour had both our dogs walking calmly beside us on lead. The best $500 we've ever spent.

John came to visit us today with our two schnauzers. One of our dogs has been to numerous dog training facilities, trainers, Behavouralist & has been heavily medicated with calm me down tablets. None of which has worked. John spent 3 1/2 hours with us today showing the correct way to interact with both schnauzers. We walked with a correction collar on around the lake in Shepparton where we live. For the first time in 15 months we have 2 calm well behaved dogs. We can’t thank John enough for his sensible & proactivel trainjng, we now have the dogs that we wanted calm & responsive. We can get one with our life with our two fur babies. Thank you so much John for your time & brilliant training techniques. Hopefully now we can wean her off the serious amount of medication she has been on . We couldn’t recommend John higher enough

We would like to thank Dean for coming and sorting myself and husband out to handle our Fur babies. Dean spent 3 and 1/2 hrs with us talking to us of the Dos and Donts and gave us positive strategies to help calm our jumping baby and learning about personal space with us and our senior 11yr old Fur baby.
We went for a walk with the Fur babies and Dean showed us how to walk puppy on a correction chain the proper way.
We now feel more positive with teaching our Fur baby and some results have been seen already after 24hrs.

We already have a 12 year Lab already trained by John . It is the best thing we have done as Millie is very good and she is happy and well behaved. We got John out again this time for our 2yo rescue dog Jack who was all over the place, jumping pulling on lead and jumping on furniture & kids. With John's expert guidance we were again thrilled with the outcome. We have always been prepared to listen to John he is the best in the business so we highly recommend him John uses positive reinforcement and proper care is taken to suit the individual dog when correction work is required.

Really wish I had seen these reviews! I was so disappointed, all the reviews on his website were so positive.
His methods were very outdated and focused on being dominant and aggressive to my dog. His solution for her barking due to separation anxiety was to throw water on her face!! And make loud noises to scare her when she barks and tries to run out the door.
He also said he didn’t believe in positive reinforcement training which was a red flag to me Immediately.

VERY dissapointing for the price he charges.
Do not recommend.

as dog is NOT a good dog trainer I have seen many reviews and I think John has written them for himself he told me its ok to hit my dog and when my dog gets angry to throw water at her it did NOT!!! help it just made her angrier and give her more anxiety DO not trust this company at all and do not recommend if i could i would give them a -10000000000000000000000000000 we payed 500 just for him to make my dogs anger issues 100 x worse .
