Awesome quiet little Vietnamese cafe. Fantastic chicken wings, fresh DIY rice paper rolls and pork belly curry just like I had in Ho Chi Minh. The only thing that would have made it better is if they still had sugar cane juice like the website said.

A work colleague and I stopped in for a coffee, nicely made, quick service, friendly atmosphere. We returned a few days later and enjoyed a pie each. Will be returning.

My hubby & I have been going to Avachat Café since they first opened over 5 years ago. We feel like family whenever we visit and Jimmy is out back cooking, he makes a point of coming to say 'hello'. We love their Rice Paper Rolls especially when they have Vietnamese Mint in them. The MYO rolls are pretty good too.

Approximate cost: $15

I don't really like the bizarre name of this little Vietnamese restaurant - it makes it sound like a mediocre cafe rather than the intimate restaurant it is. I had the pho and Vietnamese drip coffee and my friend had a stirfry of some description. Both were fresh and tasty, but I must admit I have had better tasting and larger bowls of pho for less money. Still, for $14 I was very satisfied by the end of it. Service was okay, they run cooking classes which I'm sure would be a fun thing to do if you were into Vietnamese food. Not the best value restaurant I've been to, but you get that being in the suburbs!

Dine in or take-away - this is great food at a great price. The cafe is small (maybe 20 people) so bookings are essential. It gets very busy around 7pm for take-aways.

Approximate cost: $12
