Unmotivated and unenthusiastic older male working there. Took my dry cleaning order of 2 jackets with barely a word. Sign out front says special 3 items for 19.90. Expected price to be similar to this. Pick up of items and cost was in excess of 32$ and i was told you should have put in 3. Um, if you knew in advance you could have told me? My local newsagent would never had let that happen. Would not recommend and confectionary and stationery items are overpriced. Small business need to remember it is about keeping customers happy or we will not shop there. I know I will not be returning.

One of the best kept secrets of West End. Have eaten here a few times - with colleagues, on my own and with family. A family run business with happy, cheerful servers. They make great coffee as you would expect, however they also have a terrific array of salads, breakfasts, lunches. The sell the artwork on the walls and support local artists. They do take bookings and if you have a large group, can put you in a separate room. The grilled chicken and haloumi stack is one I can never go past. As a side note, they also have a stall at the West End Markets at Davies Park where they sell their haloumi straight off the grill. Yum.

Went with a large group to The Spaghetti House Trattoria which can sometimes mean slower meal time and service. Was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant I must have walked past many times. The menu is extensive (much written in Italian) and the servers speak fluent Italian and have delightful serving manners. They are happy to recommend or explain dishes to the uninitiated. There is a mid week lunch special (one of the selected pastas, garlic bread and glass of wine for $20). This was too good pass up, however many from my group also ordered off the menu. The food was excellent - large and tasty serves. We were all way too full to even consider dessert, however next time we will explore this option too. Given West End has a plethora of good restaurants, it is rare to return to one, however this is on the return list.

Poor selection of meals, 6 mains, all around $35 mark. Kids menu very basic, nuggets, etc which is disappointing for a restaurant like this. Outdated decor. Wine was ordered, was told not in stock and offered something similar. Found out then when we ordered a bottle instead of 2 glasses, it was in stock, they just wanted to empty the open bottle of something else! I wouldn't be going back, the steak I had was not as good as pub fare. Overall, would say there is better out there, probably why it was nearly empty on a Saturday night..

Pleasant staff with friendly service. Very nice food, served warm and promptly. Basic meal is eggs and Turkish bread and then you add your desired sides. Nice coffee. Worth a visit.

Poor customer service with distracted and untrained staff at the front cover. What was ordered was not supplied. Poor telephone handling of subsequent complaint. Don't bother, it is really not worth it, we are back to any other take away except this.

I bought a scoopon for this business which advised to provide one weeks notice prior to booking. I provided three weeks notice and they still didn't contact me. After I rang to chase up my reservation, I was advised they were overwhelmed with business. Given my understanding of scoopon is that you are trying to build up business, I will never recommend nor use. I have given the voucher to a friend as have very few opportunities to use this sort of service. Had they been flexible, I would have been a regular (each school holidays) and a referrer. Disappointing experience. Wish I had been able to comment on the actual service provided, but they failed to provide the service offered.

Every now and again I forget just how bad my last experience was and I go back when I am in a rush. I am hoping this will be a constant reminder to me, so I don't return. Where to start. Service is laughable when you consider the phrase 'fast food'. For some reason staff can only process one order from start to finish before they can take the next order. And i mean finish, as in when they hand you the food. They also like to half fill chip boxes and the chicken strips were the size of the nuggets last night. To be fair, I actually provided this feedback directly to KFC through their website and have had no response whatsoever so feel if they are not concerned about their poor customer service then others should be warned to avoid them. There are more than enough other places around to buy chicken, don't bother here would be my advice.

Always friendly staff who are happy to answer questions and make packs up to suit. Owner will always provide cooking tips and ingredients on request. Food is fresh and I have never bought anything that I was sorry I bought. Leaves the chicken in the supermarkets for dead. Might seem pricey but I think it is worth it and watch out for the specials.

Dropped in for a bread roll the other day and was blown away by the variety and range. I bought a ciabatta and a Turkish roll, both of which were fresh and had a great taste. Prices are really reasonable, much cheaper than my regular bakery. The cakes had a great range (was tempted by the strawberry shortcake) and pies looked made fresh and were not bought in. Will always stop hereof I am driving past again, recommend it and only wish it was on my side of town.
